"See ya Gav." I said as Gavin and I parted ways. He got his schedule earlier, so he could get straight to class.

"Bye love!" He called back.

I trotted down the long hallway to the main office. I reached for the door knob until someone grabbed it before me.

"Let me get that." He smiled. He had brown hair and a goofy smirk. His eyes were a brown/green hazel color, along with his perfect teeth and thin but some how full, lips.

"Thanks." I blushed. I entered in the office with the boy behind me. I approached the front desk along with him.

"Hi I'm here to pick up my schedule...I assume you are too?" He said pointing to me.

"Yeah I am." I nodded.

"Alright well I need your names and grades." The large receptionist smiled.

"Derek Kelly 10th grade." He smiled.

"Oh uh, (y/n) also 10th." I smiled at the boy called Derek.

"Alright here you go Mr.Kelly." She said handing him his schedule, "and you Ms. (y/n)"

I grabbed my schedule and walked out the office. Derek soon caught up with me.

"So...whats your first class?" He asked trying to peek at my schedule.

"Let's see....it looks like I have chemistry first." I sighed.

"Me too. Let's walk there." He smiled, "I actually don't know where it is, I'm new here."

"Oh okay yeah just come with me." I nodded and began to lead. We walked in silence for a bit.

"So Derek...Where you from?" I asked.

"Ah well, I moved here from Dallas and I'm originally from Canada." He said. I had then noticed his accent.

"Nice. I have a friend who goes here from Canada. Her name is Barbara." I nodded.

"Cool. I would love to be introduced to my fellow Canadian." He laughed.

The walk was kinda awkward, but luckily the room wasn't far.

"The room should be coming up here" I said looking down the hall full of open classroom doors.

"Alright sounds good. Is this the class?" He asked pointing to the class room in front of us.

"It is. And hey, we have 10 minutes to spare." I said checking the clock on the wall.

I led Derek into the classroom and noticed a few people sitting around, one of which was Ray. I walked quickly up to him with Derek by my side. Ray gave Derek an unsure look and then looked back to me.

"Ray this is Derek, Derek this is Ray." I smiled and took a seat next to Ray.

"Hi Ray. I'm sorry, I'm new here and trying to make some new friends." Derek's face went a bit red as he looked to the floor.

"Are you Canadian?" Ray asked.

"Yeah I am." Derek replied proudly.

"Nice. And welcome to our school, aka hell." Ray joked. I hit rays arm and looked back at Derek.

"It's not to bad once you have someone to hang out with." I smiled and patted the seat next to mine so Derek could sit down. He situated in the chair and put his stuff down.
