Secrets and Mornings

Reader POV:

I woke up in the same position I fell asleep in, curled up against Ray. He was still sleeping, so I shifted out of his grasp.

I walked quietly out of the room and noticed Gavin was gone and Michael was still sleeping. I got up and grabbed my phone from the charger against the wall next to Michael. I checked my texts:

Mom: Be home by 5 please.

Geoff: (From a group message) Gavin is at my house. Come over when you can.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to see Gavin yet. I decided to wake up Ray and Michael. Michael got up and got cleaned up, and I continued to wake up Ray.

"Hey (y/n) can I talk to you?" Michael asked, while grabbing my arm.

"Look. You are a very good friend of mine. And so is Gavin. And I told Gavin this too, but I want you two to be careful. I don't want something awkward to happen between you two, and then you guys aren't friends anymore. Okay?"

He didn't have to worry about that. If something were to happen, then we'd definitely be more than friends....

"Okay yeah I got it." I reassured Michael, "but why would you think something would happen between us?"

"Oh come on. I've seen the way you two look at each other. It's obvious there is some tension between you two" Michael said with a smile.

Maybe Michael wasn't the one that liked me...maybe it was Gavin...

"You guys ready to go or..?" Ray said while walking out of the room.

"Yeah lets go."

Michael, Ray and I walked over to Geoff's house. The rest of the guys were waiting in living room for us.

"Hey look who it is!" Ryan called out from the living room.

"Mornin." Geoff said while sipping a cup of coffee.

Michael Ray and I took our seats on the floor. Everyone else continued on their conversations, except Gavin. He had taken a seat next to me on the floor.

"Hey I'm sorry bout last night. I didn't realize that would make you uncomfortable. I thought you liked me too." Gavin said in a guilty voice.

I looked at Gavin and smiled and whispered in his ear,

"Who said I didn't like you?"

Gavin's face lit up in happiness. He looked adorable when he got happy.

"Hey... uh what are you two giggling about over there?"

Ryan pointed out as he motioned towards me and Gavin.

"Yeah these 2 seem to be keeping secrets quite often.." Jack said, pointing at us.

"Yup well I gotta and get my stuff." I said as I got up.

"I'll go with you, love." Gavin said as he followed me.

"They're totally gonna bang" Michael whispered to the group.

Gavin and I walked back to his house and grabbed my things. We went back to Geoffs house and told the guys we were going to my house. Michael decided to join us, so he wouldn't go home alone.

"So are you guys a thing now?" Michael asked me and Gavin

"Michael, what you on about?" Gavin replied.

"Gavin, its fine. We don't have to keep it a secret." I said to Gavin.

"Keep what a secret? what the hell are you talking about?" Michael began to get fired up.

"Last night...I uhh kissed her." Gavin said shyly.

"Nice dude!" Michael said high fiving Gavin, "i think you guys should keep that a secret actually. Just for now"

"Ray knows." I interrupted.

"Wot?!?" Gavin responded to me.

"I'm sorry! I didn't tell him. He was awake when it happened and he heard everything" I said.

"Well, fuck." Michael said.

We continued our walk to mine and Michael house.

We got to my house, and Gavin followed me in. I introduced him to my mom and claimed I was taking him with us to the funeral. We then, went upstairs to my bedroom.

"Gavin?" I said to him.

"Yes..."

"So when you said Michael liked me...you were actually talking about you?" I continued

"Yup. But I'm still jealous he slept over here and saw your panda knickers before I did."

Gavin joked.

"You'll do that too...one day." I winked at Gavin.

"Well then love, I will see you on Monday. Me and Michael are going to the lake today." Gavin said, while kissing my cheek.

"Alright. See you then."

After Gavin left, I went downstairs to my mom.

"How old is that boy?" my mom asked me as I approached her.

"Uhm he's a year older than me... why do you ask?" I respond to my mom.

"Well he just looked a bit older...I'm just making sure you're not fooling around with a senior or something." My mom said with a concerned tone.

"No mom. But I am friends with older boys if that's what you're asking." I commented.

"Nope never mind." My mom then left the kitchen and went to her room, leaving me alone in the hallway.

I had spent all week with the boys, so I decided to take Sunday off. I played a variety of games I downloaded from the Xbox live arcade. I was about to get off my xbox, until I heard a knock on my door.

"Honey were going to the store. Well be home around 9."

"Okay" I responded to my mom.

I turned off my tv, and laid on my bed and started scrolling through tumblr on my phone.

I then heard a loud noise from downstairs. It wasn't the sound of the front door closing, it was more of a window. I then heard voices:

"God dammit! wrong window! what if her parents are home?" It was a voice I knew well, Michael.

"Sorry Michael, I thought this was the bathroom one." i heard the second voice say. And of course, it was Gavin.

I walked down stairs to find Gavin and Michael crawling through a small window above my kitchen sink. They both seemed panicked and out of breathe.

"What the hell!?" I yelled to them.

"Sorry we didn't want your parents to see us." Gavin said whilst crawling through the window.

"And you really couldn't call me or text me?" I said.

"Gavs phone died. And I forgot mine is at his house." Michael responded to me.

"Alright yeah. What do you assholes need?" I asked them.

"Ray needs our help." Gavin finally said.

The words shocked me.

"What?! is he okay??" I asked frantically.

"Just come with us." Michael said reaching for my hand.

"No I need to stay here... My parents are gonna be home at 9. what is going on?!"I snapped at them.

"Leave a note or something! We have to help him!"

I left a short note telling my parents I went out with some friends.

Then I left with Gavin and Michael.
