(ELANOR'S POV)
It took us three days but we finally arrived at my old tribe. As soon as we landed the chief and many nervous tribe members rushed up.
The chief looked around at us all with a terrified expression, and he was as pale as a ghost! He fidgeted his fingers as large balls of sweat rolled down his pink, puffy cheeks.
He pulled me away from the riders and nervous villagers. He held me close to his overstuffed belly and whispered hoarsely in my ear.
"I-I told you- I told you to c-come alone! An-and where are the Nigh- th-the Night Furys?" He stammered.
"They left, they aren't coming. What's going on around here?" I asked.
He licked his chapped lips nervously before replying, "I-I guess- uh, h-hope your good enough." He avoided my question.
"What's going on here?" I demanded.
"Go get your friends and make yourself comfortable in my house." He still didn't answer me.
"Fine." I said, grudgingly.
I went back and got the riders. Then the chief led us to his hut.
"Somethings wrong here. Why did they want only me and Whisper?" I asked Astrid as we walked in the back of the group.
"I don't know, stay sharp. And hold on the that bow of yours." She instructed.
I glanced back and looked at the dark brown bow with the golden dragon head. I had also brought a quiver of arrows and rested them on my shoulder.
I looked around as we passed the huts which lined the path. Whenever we drew near to a house the vikings would lock all the doors and close the window curtains. No child was left to play on the street and no vikings to tend to the chores.
I took the arrow off my back and held it tightly at my side. Just in case...
We soon reached his hut and he showed us to our rooms. All the others were on the highest floor, but I was all alone on the first. Why is he separating me from them? Does he still think so low of me? The nerve!
I went to bed angry that night. Although, I didn't sleep for long. I was quickly awakened by Aloysius.
"Wake up! I need you for something important. Now!" He growled.
I sat up from my bed and watched him leave the room. I jumped up and grabbed my bow before following him out.
I saw him waiting for my by the door.
"Hurry up! The other riders are already waiting for us." He said as he left the house.
"Waiting where?" I questioned as I ran after him.
He had set the pace at a fast walk, we seemed to be heading towards the coast.
"Where are we going? Where are the other riders?" I asked.
He remained silent. I decided it was a waste of time and followed him without another question. I did not let my guard down though. I had my fist clenched tightly around my bow.
I was right, we were heading for the coast. When we touched the sand he turned left quickly and ran away.
"Hey, wait! Where are you going?" I yelled as I followed him.
He made a sharp turn and seemed to disappear into the rock. I stopped in my tracks and looked around. I was far from the town now. I was on a white sand beach with a large cliff face on one side and the ocean on the other. I slowly approached the other side of the cliff face and realized there was a large cave in it.
Of course, idiot! He didn't disappear, he went into a cave!
I cautiously walked into the cave with my bow ready to fire. The arrow was stretched back. After a few steps in the cave opened up. It was large and round with pointed rocks dangling dangerously from the ceiling.
"Aloysius? Where did you go? Where are the riders? I don't see anyone? Aloysius?" I called out.
"Hello, daughter." I turned around quickly to see Ryker grinning at me with Aloysius at his side.
I gritted my teeth with rage and raised my bow, pointing it straight at Ryker's grinning face.
(WHISPER'S POV)
I left Meelo and went to search for Toothless by myself. I soon found him where we had first landed, he was just sitting there on the cold, lonely, grey stone ground.
I landed next to him, grunting a hello.
"Hey, have fun?" He asked, smiling.
"Yeah, I did. Meelo showed me around a bit." I said. "You okay?"
"Well, there's something I want to tell you. Whisper, I- Umm... Sorry, Peni, I-"
"No, no, no! I told Meelo that my name was Whisper. Call me that." I said.
His smile grew. "Well then, Whisper, I-"
He was once again interrupted. Esmeraldo had strode over and pushed in between us.
"Hey, watch it! I'm having a conversation with her!" Growled Toothless as he rose to his feet.
"I only came to ask you a question!" Esmer retorted.
"Then you can ask me after I'm done talking with Whisper." He growled.
"Why are you here?" He sneered, ignoring what Toothless had just said. "I mean, by what I've heard, you had a contempt living with the vikings." He said the word as if it were a curse. "Whisper had a reason to come, so whats yours?"
"He's come here looking for his family." I said.
"Uh, actually, that's not why I came." He said.
"What, then why?" I was puzzled, what else could pull him away from Hiccup?
"Well, I was going to tell you before this idiot interrupted me!" He growled before returning his attention back to me. "Whisper, I came here because... Because, I like you."
He- he likes me!? Like, as in, like-likes me?!
