(WHISPER'S POV)
"What is it?" I asked as we landed on the other side of the island.
"Directions. I just have to follow the sun back, right?" He asked.
"Yeah. Just until you get back to the Northern Stone Tribe. You know the way back to the Edge from there." She said.
"I do. Good luck trying to convince everyone. It won't be easy." He said.
"Is anything we ever do easy?" I scoffed.
"No, but this will change thousands of lives." He said.
"I know. Once our kind is finally free from this island I'll tell them which places are safe to live at." I said.
"Are we sure they'll want to leave their island?" He questioned.
"Why would they not?" I asked.
"Well, they have lived here for thousands of years. This will upset their entire way of life. Plus, Night Fury's are pretty stubborn." He said.
"I guess I didn't really think about that. I'll just have to find a way. You only worry about getting the riders here." I said.
"Okay. Good luck." I said.
"You too." He gave me and affectionate lick on the forehead.
That night we found a comfy cave away from the other Night Fury's and spent the whole night there.
(ASTRID'S POV)
As soon as he moved his sword away from the boys neck I fired at him. But instead it had hit Aslaug's face.
"Noooo!" I cried as I zoomed over and grabbed a troth from the house next to us.
I dumped it on the boy. It put out the fire but the boy was now unconscious. The boy's father broke free from the guard and ran over as he wept by his son.
I tried to carry him to Stormfly but as soon as I laid a single finger on him the father yelled at me.
"You get away from him! It's your fault he is hurt! You shot him, monster!" He yelled, his face red with anger.
"I-I'm sorry. It was an accident! Ryker-" He cut me off.
"Ryker may have held him. But you fired the shot. If he dies I will have your head! Now get away!" He growled.
"He needs help! You have to let me take him! It's his only chance!" I yelled back in a desperate attempt.
"No, I will not allow him to be-" He stopped in mid-speech as the guard dragged him away.
I took this chance and grabbed the boy. I hauled him onto Stormfly and had Hiccup hold onto him.
"Try that again and my men will scorch this whole place!" Yelled Ryker.
I flew him over to Fishlegs and he took him back to the chief's hut.
Ryker continued, "Do we have a deal? Or will I have to kill everyone here? Like I did with Aloysius."
The crowd gasped. Aloysius is dead?!
Ryker seemed content with all the looks of horror.
"We'll give ourselves up, Ryker. Just, please, leave the village alone." Begged Hiccup.
"I'll think about it." Said Ryker. "Guards."
A few guards trotted over and we allowed them to take us. I hit Stormfly on the thigh before I was taken though. She flew up and towards the coast.
Ryker looked at me and growled. "That was a mistake. You'll get a special punishment later."
"Tch!" I spat.
He moved us into cells scattered across the village.
(TOOTHLESS'S POV)
I yawned and stretched awake. I felt a familiar warmth pressed against me and looked over to see Whisper.
I slowly moved away from her and stood up. I'll let her sleep. I sneaked out of the cave and stretched. I blinked as the sun scorched my eyes.
I'll grab some food before leaving. I decided.
I took off towards the forest and stalked under the trees until I finally found a boar family. I quickly killed two of them. I left one by Whisper and devoured the other.
Lifted my wings and began the long flight ahead. Before I had even left the island I heard someone call my name.
It was Meelo. She was on the island below. I dove down and met her.
"Leaving so soon?" She asked.
"Yeah, Whisper wants me to get started as soon as possible."
"Well, I mean, what she has planned won't be easy." She said.
I looked at her, surprised.
"C'mon, you seriously thought I didn't know? She scoffed. "I'm her sister, and sister's don't keep secrets."
"Heh, guess so. Well, I really should be off. I guess I'll see you in a couple months." I said.
"Wow. That long?"
"Yeah." I shrugged.
"Why isn't Whisper going with you?" She asked.
"Oh, yeah. Well, she-she said she didn't want to leave you." I chuckled.
"I knew it. I was holding her back." She scowled at herself.
"No, no, no! She would much rather be with Night Fury's then a bunch of vikings. Plus, her family is here mine is there. but, it's not like I'll be gone for too long." I said. "Keep her company for me, will ya."
"Always. See ya later!" She said and I was off.
I flew straight at the rising sun. At least this time I won't have all those early mornings.
The next few weeks were pretty uneventful. Just the same thing everyday, wake up, eat, fly, sleep. I missed Whisper, and Hiccup.
About a week before Is should have arrived I bumped into some company.
(ELANOR'S POV)
During the next few weeks Ryker just kept us all in cages. He would question us every night. Each time we gave no answer to the Night Fury's whereabouts, which we couldn't give anyway. And each night we all gained a new scar. But each time the cuts kept getting bigger.
Until one night when Hiccup was pulled away. Ryker told us that if he didn't get the information he wanted then Hiccup would have two artificial legs. Astrid tried to stop him, but was quickly restrained by the guards. After a few minutes we heard screaming and Astrid was screaming Hiccup's name in despair...
Done! Sorry that I had to do this time skip. Next chapter we will be back with Whisper only a few days after Toothless left. Something BIG will happen in a few chapters. really BIG. Anyway, bye for now! Word Count: 1055!
