Chapter 29

These past two days with Harper have been amazing but she needs to go home because she needs to be at work in the morning
"I wish you didn't have to go" I said hugging her at the door
"I need to baby plus I think your wife would have something to say if I was still here when she got back" she laughed
"Oh yeah I can imagine how that would go down but in my mind there are bikinis and mud" I laughed which caused me to get a slap
"Anyway, what's your up coming schedule" she asked
"I have rehearsals starting Monday and the tour kicks of in Springfield MO on the 16th Feb, 17th in Evansville IN, 18th Louisville Kentucky" I said
"I suppose your family will be going with you" she said
"Yeah they always come to the opening show but then they go back on the Saturday because they boys have school on Monday. I was wondering how would you and Ally like to come to the show in Atlantic city and then the Charlotteville show on the Saturday"
"What dates are those" she asked
"23rd and 24th Feb" I said
"Yeah I can work round that. Won't the boys be with you" she asked
"No they don't come to those shows because I usually get drunk at Atlantic city" I smirked
"And get laid" She said stepping back
"Well I'm hoping I will when you get there" I laughed
"I swear if you weren't as damn cute then I would kick your ass for your cheeky comments"
She picked up her bags and I took them off her
"Stay one more night" I pleaded
"Luke I can't I need to go back to work." She said
I pouted.
"Ok I know when I'm not wanted"
"Don't be like that. Why don't you come to my place tomorrow night and you can come back Friday" she said
"I would love nothing more but I need to tidy for them coming back. You know we made a helluva mess of those sheets and I still need to find your panties" I said kissing her head
"Fine. Well I really need to get going beat the traffic I will call when I get home" she huffed
"Baby don't be like that. We have had an awesome time and I will come and see you at your place but it won't be things week ok." I said hugging her
"It's not as extravagant as this place though" she said looking a round
"I don't care as long as your there"
"Ok I really need to go now" she said hugging me. Neither one of us wanted to let go but I knew she needed to go. I pulled away and opened the door. I put her bag in the back seat
"Call me as soon as you get home ok" I said pulling her into a hug
"I promise" she said
"Now give me a kiss and get your sweet ass in that gorgeous truck of yours" I said pulling her in. Our lips met and she opened her mouth allowing me to slip my tongue and fight for dominance which I won.
We broke away
"Until we meet again" I said
"Yip. Oh Luke in case I never said I really had fun and I know we have only known one another a short while but I.... I .... I love you" she said. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"I love you to" I replied "We will make this work baby. I need to sort of my life. I hope you will be patient enough to wait for me" I said
"Oh I will" she said climbing into her truck.
I watched her drive up my road. I turned and went inside and went in search of those pretty red panties.
I pulled all the cushions off and there they where down the side of the sofa. I pulled them out and smelled them mmmm the sweet smell of her. Those where definitely get used tonight when I'm thinking of her. I took a selfie of me holding the panties up to my face and sent it to Harper with the caption "I suppose these will do until I see you again xx"
