Sometimes you can't fight your feelings.

Chapter 44

Five days had passed and I still hadn't heard from Harper. My heart was actually breaking. She is supposed to be meeting me in Atlantic City tomorrow and I don't know what's happening. I have sent flowers by the dozen every day and nothing. I even considered flying back and going to her home but I don't think that would have been welcomed. I just wish I knew what was happening.

Harper's PoV
I haven't spoken to Luke in five days. He has tried calling me and texting me ever since I hung up on him. I know I should have let him explain what happened but I felt so betrayed. Ally was coming over because even though I ain't spoke to him I ain't missing a trip to Atlantic City.
"So have you spoke to Luke yet" Ally asked
"Not yet" I said
"What you going to do, are y'all gonna split" she asked sounding concerned
"I don't think so Al, I just want him to know that he can't mess with me like he did Caroline. I know I sound like such a god damn hypocrite but"
"But you love him" she said making kissing sounds
I busted out laughing she always made me feel so better
"Yip" I said smiling
"So how we gonna play this. Has he like sent you tickets and stuff" she asked
"Yeah they came with the second load of flowers" I said Pointing
"Harper don't you think he has suffered enough I watched a YouTube video last night and he looked like shit" she said
"I was thinking that myself but in order for him to get the bet surprise out I need to get this up.  As much as it's killing me I know it will be worth it in the end." I said
"Ok girl but please be careful I wouldn't want this to backfire." She said
We finished packing and I had a few classes of wine before we fell asleep. Our flight was early so I didn't want to miss it. My plan was to get to the hotel and book in.
The next morning we woke up grabbed a few things to eat and then headed to the airport. Atlantic City here we come.
"How you going to get him to the hotel" Ally asked
"I texted Kerrie and she said she would do anything to see him smile again. She said she busted his ass big time and he asked her to put him on a curfew"
I laughed
"Y'all will be hoping his curfew is lifted tonight" 😂😂
We got to the hotel and it was beautiful, Kerrie said they should arrive in an hour or so and Luke has no idea that I am here. She said he has been checking his phone non stop like some love struck teenager. I told her to text me when he was in the lobby and she had made sure she was in his way up. I grabbed a quick shower and changed into my surprise I forgive you outfit.
Ten minutes later my phone pinged it was Kerrie.
Kerrie: He's on his way have fun 😊, but remembered has to perform tonight 😂😂
Harper: I will be gentle 😂😂😂
I positioned myself of the bed I heard him put his keycard in the lock and he opened the door. He looked up and I said
"Miss me"
