I wake up with a pounding headache. Did I get drunk? I look around, then I see Damon.

"Damon!" I shake him.

"God no. Please don't be dead." He groans then looks up at me.

"Elena."

"Damon."

"I'm gonna need you to bite your wrist Elena. I need to see if that virus is in my system." I bite my wrist.

"I'm okay." He bites his wrist.

"Damon what's going on?"

"Someone kidnapped us. Inserted you with a virus that makes you feed on vampires. He must have been serious about curing you."

"Where are we?"

"I don't know. Let's try to see if we can find the rest of them." We stumble over to the bars and across from us Caroline and Klaus still lay unconscious.

"Caroline. Klaus." They wake up and look over.

"What the hell happened?"

"Someone kidnapped us. We're in cells."

"Do you two see Bonnie and Jeremy?"

"Their over here. Still unconscious."

"You all must be loaded with questions. I'll gladly answer them for you." The guy that kidnapped us walks in.

"Where are we?"

"In a room in Whitmore house."

"Why are we here?"

"You are all vampires. We study them in order to create a virus that makes vampires feed on other vampires. We wish to bring an end to the species."

"Please. We have kids. A newborn. We need to get home to her."

"That's interesting since vampires can't procreate- unless you two are the fated vampires. The legend of the Salvatore and Petrova lines."

"Which means you know we're telling the truth."

"Oh trust me. We already found your kids." Damon and I look diagonally to see an unconscious Ember and Damien.

"No! Where are they?!"

"Who?"

"Wendy and Elizabeth. Where are they?!"

"Oh the 2 newborns. They're with a very friendly doctor who thinks you're all on a vacation."

"Meredith."

"What else would you like to know?"

"Can we be with our kids? Please?"

"Fine." 2 more people drag Damien and Ember into our cell. I pick Damien up. He wakes up and looks up at me.

"Mommy? Where are we?"

"Everything's gonna be okay, Damien. We're all gonna be fine."

"Wendy... I couldn't protect her."

"Did they take her and Elizabeth?!" He nods.

"If you'd like your newborns too, answer a few questions."

"Fine. But you have to bring them first." He brings in 2 plastic bins. Ember runs over to Beth and I run over to Wendy. I hold her close to me.

"Why are we still here?"

"Ah yes. The first candidate will be you Elena."

"Where am I going."

"You'll see. Now come come. There's work to be done."
