I chew on my nails as I wait for Elizabeth.
"I just got a text!" Liv shoots up but her face turns from joyful to grim.
"The barrier is down." Damian and I run into the fog.
"Elizabeth! ELIZABETH!" I run frantically around the town square, my breathing becoming heavy and I start to loose hope.
"ELIZABETH!" I jump around bodies of fallen Travelers.
"Damian I can't find her." He holds me and I fall to the ground.
"She has to be here, Damian. She's not dead she had a protection spell over her." The fog clears and my family runs into clear sight, including Landon. He runs up to us.
"Where's Lizzie?" He spots something then runs toward it.
"Landon!" He runs farther and farther, up to the statue. He pulls a body out and his face falls.
"MAMA!!!!" I run over to him and he kneels by a body. I scream and I fall to my knees.
"NO!" I can't breathe. I fall into hysteria, tears pouring out of my eyes as I see my daughter, blood coming out of her nose and her eyes shut, her mouth in a straight line- dead.
Landon cries into her hair.
"Elena, Damian, get everyone back to the house. Take Elizabeth. Damien, Klaus and I will take care of the Travelers." Dad says. Damian picks our daughter up and I pick Landon up. Mom helps me walk and we all walk slowly to the boarding house. Damian goes inside and lies her on the couch. Landon and I both kneel beside her. Tears break loose again and I caress her face gently.
"My baby. Please wake up. Wake up. You have to wake up!" Seth walks in.
"I just got your text." He sees Elizabeth on the couch and his face becomes distraught- like mine.
"NO! ELIZABETH!" He falls to his knees. Damian and I cry together, even Jason cries.
And when I walk away, you take off running and come right after me.
I watch as my family grieves. My Mom is the worst.
I don't deserve your love but you give it to me anyway.
Can't get enough, you're everything I need.
Wendy and Quinn hold each other, sobs escaping their bodies. Seth buries his head in the carpet and cries.
I don't deserve your love.
Uncle Damien holds Hayden and Grandpa holds Jack while Grandma holds Jason. Landon looks directly at me.
"Elizabeth?" What? Can he see me? I press my fingers to my lips but my parents have already noticed.
"Elizabeth is gone, Landon."
"Uh, no, she's standing right there. Jack and Hayden come toward me.
"I can see her too!" I kneel down to them.
"Landon, can you tell Mom and Dad that I'll be okay?"
"Mama, Daddy, Lizzie said she's gonna be okay."
"Hayden, can you tell Seth that I love him and that I'll always be with him?" She nods.
"Seth." He looks at my little cousin.
"Lizzie said that she loves you and she'll always be with you." He smiles.
"Jack, tell your daddy that I took a few sips of his bourbon last night." He laughs and turns to Grandpa.
"Daddy, Lizzie said that she took a few sips of your bourbon last night." He laughs and I sit next to Wendy and Quinn.
"Hayden, will you tell these two that I love them and that no matter what they've always been here for me?" She repeats and I touch the hand of my body. In one moment, everything flashes and I see the ceiling of the boarding house. Then I take a deep breath in.
