A Surprise Visit

Ember's stomach just kept growing, and by 5 months she was showing and I was loving every minute of it.

Ember flips a pancake when the doorbell rings.

"I'll get it Em."

"Okay." I walk into the living room and I pull the door open.

"Wow. You're still very hot Damian. Is Ember home? Let's get hot and heavy." I push her away and Ember comes into the living room.

"Well if it isn't the devil. I haven't seen you in almost 18 years. Why now?"

"I think I want your boyfriend. You mind?"

"Elizabeth! Landon!" My son and daughter come down the stairs.

"Elizabeth, meet the bitch who ruined my life."

"Elizabeth hmm? My my my you look like mommy don't you?"

"You are a bitch Tessa."

"Tessa Lockwood?" She smirks.

"The one and only." Elizabeth puts her hand up.

"You're the reason I didn't have my father for 16 years." She cries out.

"You're the reason I had a messed up life with a fake father who didn't care." She cries louder.

"My name is Elizabeth Mary Salvatore. And I've been dying to meet you." She passes out.

"I'm gonna take her down to the cellar. We have some unfinished business."

"Damn. You got your mother's taste for revenge."

"Yes I did." She drags her down the stairs and I turn to Ember.

"Are you okay Em?"

"No I'm not okay!" She storms into the kitchen.

"Ember." I follow her.

"Do you still have feelings for her." Its almost like she's telling me not asking me.

"No. Ember I never did!"

"Her being here changes everything! She's the reason I that the man I love now and before today cheated on me and left me with a 3 month year old baby! She's the reason Elizabeth is downstairs probably torturing someone!!! OUR DAUGHTER WAS NOT RAISED LIKE THAT!" She turns off the oven and storms upstairs.

"Ember! Ember!"

"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE DAMIAN!" Damon comes downstairs in pajama pants with no shirt.

"Hey Damian. I just almost got plowed over by an angry Ember. What happened?"

"Tessa."

"Is she here?"

"She's downstairs with Elizabeth."

"Is she torturing Tessa?"

"Daddy's little girl."

"Well I better get back upstairs to a very naked wife. A word of advice, Damian." He takes a bowl of ice cream.

"Don't make the same mistakes." I nod and he smiles then heads upstairs. Don't make the same mistakes. Don't make the same mistakes. Don't make the same mistakes. My father in law's words ring in my head. I go downstairs to hear a scream.

"Elizabeth!" I go into the basement and I hear heavy breaths. I go into the cellar to see Tessa's skin turning grey and a heart on the ground.

"Elizabeth."

"She got exactly what she deserved. Don't give me that you shouldn't have done that crap." She pushes past me and I go upstairs behind her.

"Your mother doesn't need to know about this. I'll take care of the body and you just go upstairs and clean up got me?" She nods and I bury Tessa. I go inside and I take a shower, thinking about how easily it was for Elizabeth to kill someone. I pull my pajamas on and I head into our room to see Ember angrily folding laundry.

"Where's bitch witch."

"She's gone. You don't have to worry about her anymore."

"Okay. As long as she's gone for good."

"She is. She's gone forever." I hate hiding this from her. But she can't handle the stress, especially with our baby. She goes downstairs to hang out with Damon and Elena, and I go into Elizabeth's room.

"Lizzie."

"What?"

"Why?"

"She deserved it. She's the reason I didn't have you for 16 years."

"What I don't get is how you can do these things without remorse."

"I don't. Do you really think she was here for you? That was a perk but she came here for one reason alone."

"What?"

"To kill me."
