The poorly fashion sensed brunette fixed the circular glasses that sat rather lob sided on the bridge of his nose. His beaten up trainers trudge through the hallways as he hugs his binder to his chest. As usual, he took a detour to class, walking across the balcony that looks down into the gymnasium.
There he spots him. His brunette hair sat perfectly on his head as small beads of sweat drips down from his forehead. He was the striker for the soccer team which instantly makes him a popular.
Taehyung sighs, 'popular' that's the only thing people truly care about in this school. Not their grades nor how they treat others but simply where their social status lies. It's almost sickening to watch but Taehyung knew where he stands in the food chain. He never, in a million years, would have the chance to date someone as beautiful and favourited as Jungkook. Still, he could dream and that was good enough in his case.
The young brunette bustles to get to class, nearly forgetting that he'll get another detention if he isn't on time. His uncoordinated feet stumble around, accidentally bumping into a few students. "Sorry," he whispers quietly, his head slightly bowed in a mixture of respect and shame. He continued on, constantly knocking into people; one of them being a 'popular' couple.
"Watch it!" The brunette haired girl hisses in Taehyung's direction. But he was too busy scrambling to class to realise the very person he had just nearly pushed over. "How dare he!" Ji-won growls angrily while brushing off the invisible dust from her cream dress. Her boyfriend just observed her with utter boredom.
She glances over at him before stomping one of her heeled feet in annoyance. "Namjoon!" She whines, "do something!" She points in the direction where Taehyung had disappeared off too.
The boy stared at her before peering down the bottom of the corridor and back again. "He's gone. What do you suggest I do? Chase him?" His voice was calm, something that seems to bother Ji-won often. "Forget it!" She grumbles, marching away with irritation etched on her expression.
Namjoon simply shakes his head with a sigh, following his tantrum throwing girlfriend.
So I know this is short but it's only the prologue. I'm wondering if this is a great start to this book? I'm really excited about the storyline and I hope I can make it as enjoyable as possible for others to read.
