Chapter 19

Namjoon walks through the hallways with Ji-won by his side. His girlfriend, as usual, was yammering on about complete nonsense that he didn't really care about.

Instead of listening, his mind was too busy thinking back to the other day. How he was so close to kissing his junior. 'What the hell was I thinking?! This is Taehyung we're talking about! All he is, is my junior!!! I already have a girlfriend and besides, Taehyung only likes Jungkook!!!'

It was like a constant battle between his thoughts. Over and over again, he would think about it. Subconsciously, he licks his lips. He couldn't stop imagining the heat radiating from the younger, how their lips lightly brushed which caused a shock wave to scatter throughout Namjoon's body.

"Joonie?! Are you even listening?!" Ji-won snaps, huffing a little at her boyfriend who was in a world of his own. "Huh?" The purple haired boy hums right when he sees a flash of grey pass his vision.

Instantly, he whisks his head in the direction of the junior, completely ignoring whatever it was that Ji-won was saying.

There he was, staring downwards as he hugs his books to his chest. He was wearing his glasses once again, ditching his contacts which Namjoon found strange since he couldn't understand why Taehyung would want to hide his pretty eyes. He was also dressed similar to how he used to be beforehand, wearing an old hooded sweater and some faded out jeans.

Namjoon wanted to greet the younger despite feeling a tad shy after their last encounter but he soon came to realise that Taehyung never saw him.

In fact, Taehyung never saw anyone since his gaze was glued to the floor. He refused to spare anyone a single glance as he makes his way down the hall. Namjoon was confused over the young boy's behaviour as he gets ready to chase after him.

But Ji-won stops him by grabbing onto his sleeve the second he attempts to step away. "Where're you going?" She questions, following her boyfriend's gaze towards Taehyung's retreating back. "Don't bother getting yourself caught up with that weirdo. Look at him, I knew he wouldn't last long being a popular." She snickers while pulling on her boyfriend's jacket to follow him.

With his eyes still lingering over where Taehyung was once seen, he slowly begins to step in the opposite direction.

Namjoon hadn't seen Taehyung practically all day. It was soon coming up for lunchtime and the senior was currently in class till he had the sudden urge to use the restroom.

Managing to get out of class, he heads straight for the toilets, uses them before washing his hands and heading back off to class. However, two loud voices near the doors to the P.E department stops him in his tracks.

"Look Jungkook, I'm your friend. Your best friend to be exact and usually I don't care about what you do, that's your business so I wouldn't stop you. But what you did to Taehyung is straight out a dick move." Jimin spoke sternly as he gave a disappointed look towards the younger.

Jungkook had his back leaning on the wall, his hands were shoved deep inside his black sweatpants as he stares at his friend in amusement. "Since when did you care so much about the ugly boy? Got the fancy for him, have you?" He chuckles, teasing Jimin which only causes the older to get more irritated at the fact that Jungkook wasn't taking him seriously.

Namjoon couldn't help but get pissed off over two reasons;

1. The way that Jungkook was talking about Taehyung.
2. The fact that Jimin didn't deny the liking Taehyung part.

"Can you be serious for one minute?! God, you're like a child!" Jimin grumbles, glaring over at Jungkook. "Why should I? I couldn't give two shits about that ugly nobody." The brunette announces and Namjoon knew he had enough. Without thinking things through, he moves away from the wall he was hiding behind and stomps over to the pair of jocks with anger smeared across his face.
