Chapter 26

"So? You're friends again?" Hoseok questions through a mouthful of fries. Taehyung grimaces at the action, handing Hoseok a napkin. "Please don't talk with food in your mouth, you remind me too much of Yoongi hyung."

Hoseok froze at Taehyung's words, his heart galloping like a racing horse, trying to reach the finishing line. The older swallows his food while looking away. "Are you sure you should be doing this Taehyung?" He asks, hoping to move the conversation back into what they had previously been talking about.

Taehyung bites his lips, staring down at his unfinished lunch with a sigh. "I don't know. Part of me thinks it's stupid that I allowed Namjoon back into my life and another is over the moon that I did." Hoseok just nods, to some degree, understanding where Taehyung is coming from.

"Well, I'm sure everything will work itself out." The elder announces, attempting to cheer up his best friend who sighs again. "Hopefully," Taehyung mutters before taking a sip of his juice.

"Remember guys to get a good night rest tonight. Tomorrow, we're gonna beat the opposing team!" Couch Lee bellows throughout the changing room. Jungkook and Jimin, along with the rest of their teammates cheer before heading off to change and such.

"You hungry?" Jimin asks the younger who simply nods, "starving." Jimin chuckles before suggesting they go grab food once their dressed. They had been at practice all morning in the town's local sports arena where they could train for the big game tomorrow.

The pair quickly shower before changing and heading out to a nearby fast food restaurant to pick up some food.

They didn't have far to walk before their eyes catch sight of the building they were heading for. Once inside the warm establishment, the boys make their way to the counter to order their food. While waiting, Jungkook spots two very familiar faces sitting over a bit on the high stools.

Neither Taehyung nor Hoseok had noticed the jocks yet which was good in Jungkook's opinion. It meant they couldn't make a run for it while he waits for his food. "Psst!" He slaps Jimin's chest, causing the older of the two to whine in pain. "Ow! Well that wasn't rude!" He hisses, making the younger roll his chocolate orbs at his moaning. "Look hyung." Jungkook mutters, pointing in the direction where the juniors sat.

Jimin immediately feels his heart combust at the sight of Hoseok. He didn't expect to run into him just yet which caused the palms of his hands to sweat. Jungkook and Jimin's order arrives, making the younger smirk in delight. "Come on!" He yanks his hyung in the direction of the other two, causing Jimin's orbs to expand. "W-wait!" He halts in his actions.

Jungkook raises a brow, wondering why his friend was stopping him from approaching the juniors. "I thought you were warned not to go near him Jungkook? Don't start something now that everything has been settled." Jimin warns, knowing that Jungkook was up to no good.

The younger scoffs at his hyung's words, ignoring him as he makes his way over to the two. Hoseok was the first to see Jungkook, his laughing face slowly dissolving away into a dirty glare as he stares at the jock with disgust.

"Jung, ugly." Jungkook says while giving both boys a nod. Taehyung immediately tenses up when he sees the brunette standing directly beside him. The grey haired male quickly averts his gaze to stare at his unfinished fries, no longer hungry.

Jungkook decides to squeeze himself onto the seat beside Taehyung, even when Hoseok forbids it. Jimin sighs loudly from a few feet away, deciding to try and get his friend to leave them alone. Though with each step he took to get closer, his chest tightens. His eyes were solely locked on Hoseok's side profile until the older felt a nearby presence and looks up. Jimin's feet immediately stop, realising the other has caught him.
