Chapter 24

"I don't get why your packing right now. It's not till Saturday when we're leaving." Hoseok grumbles as he flops his back onto Taehyung's bed. The younger rolls his orbs as he places another t-shirt into his suitcase. "I like being prepared." He admits, making Hoseok snort with laughter.

"Let me guess, you wouldn't pack till the night before we go and you'll probably leave behind like 10 different things because you weren't prepared like me." Taehyung teases to which Hoseok thinks about it for a moment before mumbling, "maybe packing early isn't so bad."

Taehyung chuckles at his best friend's silliness, resulting in Hoseok to smile triumphantly. The elder made a pack with himself to keep Taehyung happy and laughing for as long as he lives. He never wants to see the boy looking so depressed and sad like he was beforehand.

"Hey Tae, I need to borrow-" Yoongi's voice slowly gets quieter when he notices Hoseok sitting there. He averts his attention away from the red haired boy and instead stares at his brother. "I need your laptop for something since mine's broke."

Taehyung just groans loudly while getting up from his place on the floor and over towards where his desk is to collect his laptop for his brother. Yoongi took this opportunity to glance at Hoseok again, who just so happens to be stealing a peek also at the older.

Both panic, looking away from one another right when Taehyung turns back with the laptop in his grasp. "Here you go hyung." He mumbles, placing everything into Yoongi's arms. "Please don't be watching porn on it again. I ended up with lots of viruses because of you." The younger huffs, causing Hoseok to giggle behind his hands while Yoongi turns the colour red.

He felt like that was all Hoseok would see him as, a sex obsessed pest. "You know I don't only care about that! I have other things I like and do too!" He yells out, surprising Taehyung and Hoseok who had no clue as to what he was rambling on about.

Yoongi realises his mistake as he clamps his mouth shut and turns around, walking straight out of the room without another sound slipping from his lips till he's safely back in his room. He puts down the laptop before running at his bed and burying his face as he yells into a pillow. 'How embarrassing!!' He thought, wanting to get rid of the awful memory that was now embedded into his mind. "I'm such an embarrassment!" His voice was muffled against the fabric of his pillow.

Taehyung glances at Hoseok before shrugging, "he's been acting weird lately." He admits before taking a seat beside Hoseok. He decides to just finish packing later as the pair look up to stare at Taehyung's rather boring looking ceiling.

"It's funny," Hoseok says after a few short moments of silence. Taehyung turns his head away from the upper surface of the room to stare at his friend who keeps his gaze upwards. "What is?" Taehyung question with slight puzzlement etched across his face.

Hoseok looks over at the grey headed boy, a small smile playing on his lips. "A few months ago, I would have never thought we would be friends yet here we are today." He admits through a soft chuckle.

Taehyung smiles back, taking in the fact that Hoseok was right. The pair just sit there, enjoying the silence as their brains think over the last few months they've shared together.

"Yeontan! Heel! Stop! Just do anything besides run!!!" Taehyung yells out to his overly excited puppy who was running at anything and everything that he might find. Yeontan just barks in response to Taehyung's demand like he could actually understand and communicate with his owner.

Taehyung lets out a sigh, keeping a firm hold on the leash as he walks Yeontan in the direction of the park. The young silver headed boy was in a world of his own, remembering that nothing seemed to work on Namjoon. 'Or maybe it did?' He wonders when he recalls the way the elder acted at the photoshoot.
