Chapter 9

Taehyung couldn't stop staring at his reflection in the mirror. How his hair was now a soft shade of silver. If he turns his head to the right angle, it glistens in the sunlight. He placed on some of the outfits that Namjoon had bought him and was practically grinning from ear to ear at how well the clothes match with his new do.

"Maybe Jungkook will finally notice me?" Taehyung whispers to myself, a small smile beginning to grow on his lips.

Unexpectedly, his bedroom door comes flying open and in walks his older brother, Yoongi. "Hey slut, I need your laptop...for...something." The elder's voice quietens nearing the end of his sentence. His dark orbs gawk at his baby brother, surprise to see his appearance. "Uhh...you look...different." He mumbles with a raised brow. Taehyung flushes a crimson hue, embarrassed that he was caught in his new clothes so soon.

"Umm yeah." The newly hair dyed boy says, scratching at his neck. Yoongi shuffles over to Taehyung's bed, taking a seat on it as he keeps his gaze solely on his brother. "So...why?" He questions, gesturing down Taehyung's body.

The younger awkwardly shuffles on his feet before answering, "I got a makeover." He simply states. Yoongi squints his eyes, clicking his tongue. "Mhmm." He hums, not entirely sure what has happened over the space of a day. Yesterday, he saw his brother looking like his usual, messy, uncoordinated self but now he's like a sex God.

Taehyung was never the 'pretty one' in the family. He never once cared about his appearance despite both his parents constantly going on at him about getting a 'haircut' or 'switching up his style.' Yoongi was the one who cared more about all that, making sure to keep up with the latest trends and checking himself multiple times in the mirror before even stepping foot outside the door.

Yoongi just couldn't get over the fact that Taehyung actually didn't look bad. It's like a dream come true for their parents. The younger bites down on his lower pink lip, an evident tinge of red crossing his entire face when Yoongi asks, "so who are you doing this for?"

"W-what?!" Taehyung squeaks. The pink haired male simply sighs, "it's obvious that you're doing this to catch someone's attention so who is it?" He leans back on the grey covers, his palms resting over the soft fabric as he awaits his brother's reason.

Taehyung couldn't do anything besides lick his lips in uncertainty. 'Should I tell him? It's not like he'll tell anyone anyway.' The younger braces himself, taking in a deep breath as he rushes out his words. "I'm trying to impress my crush, Jeon Jungkook but he probably wouldn't even notice me or talk to me because he hates me!!"

Yoongi blinks once. Twice. Three times. He barely just caught onto what his brother was mumbling about. "Hold on." He raises a hand before a teasing smirk takes over his lips, "did you say Jeon Jungkook? The freshman?"

"Well, he's a sophomore now." Taehyung mutters while Yoongi chuckles loudly. "Aww this is fantastic! Trust you to fall for a jock!" The elder continues to laugh, finding it hilarious. Taehyung puffs out his cheeks, his brows frowning as he glares at the older. "Yeah, yeah laugh it up." He hisses, causing Yoongi to buckle over and chortle louder.

"What's going on in here? Oh, you two seem to be getting on well for once." Mrs Min smiles, standing at her youngest son's bedroom door. By this point, Yoongi was rolling across Taehyung's bed, messing it up slightly while his brother stood with his arms crossed over his chest.

"What's this? You've had your hair dyed!" Mrs Min shouts, reaching forward and running her hand through Taehyung's grey hair. "This colour is so pretty on you." His mom chimes, glad to see her son finally taking better care of himself. She always knew that both her sons were beautiful and seeing Taehyung like this just made her more excited.
