Chapter 2

Taehyung wasn't quite sure why he agreed to this since he didn't enjoy the thrill of getting into trouble nor did he even really know Hoseok. Yet here the pair were, roaming the hallways instead of being in detention.

Originally, Hoseok tried to convince Taehyung that they should just leave the school building all together and forget about being imprisoned inside a classroom for another hour. But Taehyung practically begged the red head not to do so, implying that they will only get in more trouble if they do.

Hoseok was the type to break all the rules and not give a shit about it. However, he found himself eventually agreeing to stay with the younger as they begin walking around the hallways instead. "This is so boring!" The fiery haired male moans aloud as the pair take a right turn down a corridor.

Since it was after-school hours, there weren't very many people around. Mostly just teachers and some students who have after-school clubs. Taehyung couldn't quite understand why the older was even bothering to keep him company, after all, they aren't even friends.

'Friends...' Taehyung couldn't tell you how that feels to have a friend there by your side. He's always been alone and he believes he always will be.

The pair found themselves walking across the balcony that looks down onto the gymnasium. The soccer team were currently in due to the awful weather currently going on outside as they work on their upcoming games that were beginning in a few weeks time. Taehyung instantly spots Jungkook and soon finds his feet slowing down to a halt.

Hoseok peers to his side, watching the young brunette edge closer to the railings as he gawks at the boys currently doing runs for warm ups. The red head joins him and almost scoffs, "the soccer team?! Seriously? Don't tell me you're like 'in love' with one of them or something."

The younger couldn't contain his embarrassment, his cheeks were a soft shade of scarlet as he attempts to hide his face from Hoseok. "N-no..." He whispers, knowing that the older will obviously see through his lie.

"Let me guess," Hoseok hums, "is it that Jungkook kid?" He points towards the dark headed sophomore, who was laughing and smiling while talking with some friends. If it was possible, Taehyung's face turned to an even darker shade of humiliation. He wasn't able to be discreet about it since he was practically ogling the younger, observing him with complete awe.

Hoseok could instantly notice how much Taehyung was swooning over the jock and it made him feel sorry for the boy. "Tch, you shouldn't bother with someone like him, he's a prick. All he cares about is sex and you don't look like the type to be into that kind of thing." Hoseok teases, watching Taehyung turn even brighter.

"T-that's not all he thinks about! Jungkook is kind and helpful! He's also very talented and he makes me feel happy whenever I look at him!!" Taehyung found himself admitting aloud, fidgeting with the hem of his old and crinkled shirt to calm his raging nerves. He adverts his gaze from Hoseok to continue staring at the young sophomore as the team were now being split into groups to start practice.

The scarlet haired male studies Taehyung's side profile. He suddenly realising just how much this boy seems to be in love with the sophomore. Hoseok sighs, his own orbs turning away from Taehyung to instead observe the soccer team. "Remember Jungkook's a popular. People like them only mix with each other, they don't like outsiders such as ourselves." He then places a hand onto Taehyung's shoulder, earning his attention. "I also don't think Jungkook's into boys, I've only ever seen him have girlfriends."

Taehyung's entire body deflates, yet again being reminded of the awful truth. He was already aware of the fact that Jungkook shows zero signs of being into guys. But even if he was, there's no way he would ever go for someone like Taehyung.
