Chapter 19 ♔

Your POV:

About an hour had passed since we arrived at the party. The Wanna One boys and I were all chilling in the living room, just talking amongst ourselves. 

Now that I got to know them a lot better, I realized that they might just be the chillest people on Earth, especially Daehwi. He's so friendly and welcoming. I feel like I've known him for years.

I've also noticed that Daniel and Seongwoo are especially close. They stick to each other like glue and seem to have great chemistry. 

Daehwi told me they're like the #1 ship in Wanna One. People usually refer to their relationship as "Ongniel is science". Although I'm kinda jealous, I admit that it's pretty cute. 

Just then, a waiter walked in with a tray of alcohol and beverages. The members' eyes lit up as they saw the alcohol and proceeded to pour some for themselves, except for the underraged ones of course. 

The waiter then came towards my direction and offered me some alcohol. I kindly shook my head and requested for some strawberry milk instead.

Jihoon, who was beside me, also politely declined and asked for milk.

The waiter nodded and moved on to Daniel, "You'll have the usual sir?" he asked and offered Daniel 10 large bottles of beer. 

My eyes widened. He usually drinks that much?!

Daniel took a hesitant glance at me before looking back at the waiter, "No thanks. I'll just have some water please."

The waiter was taken aback, "I'm sorry sir? If I'm not mistaken, you usually love chugging alcohol. You're the best drinker in the club!"

Seongwoo nodded, "Exactly. C'mon man, stop being a pussy and chug that shit."

"CHUG IT! CHUG IT! CHUG IT!" Everyone in the room started chanting. 

I looked at them in disgust. 

Is this what they call peer pressure? 

Or is this just a normal occurrence for parties like this?

Daniel cleared his throat, "Guys please stop. I've decided to take a break from alcohol for a while. So if you were good friends, you'd understand."

Everyone looked at Daniel in shock, including me. 

Wait, don't tell me he's actually doing this for me...

I thought back to the time he promised me he'd never drink again. I never expected him to actually keep that promise. Isn't drinking like super important in Korean culture?

Daniel looked at me and smiled, "It's all for your sake, jagi. I wanna change for you~" he whispered and gently placed his hand on top of mine.

I smiled back at him, "Thank you Daniel. I really appreciate it."

Suddenly, the music stopped playing, making everyone confused. 

"Hey! Turn the beats back on, I wanna dance!" People on the dance floor started complaining. 

"OH MY GOD!" We heard someone yell, making us all look towards the direction of the voice. 

The owner of the voice appeared to be a young guy with a shocked look on his face. He was standing at the DJ's booth, turning off all the music.

"What is it Samuel?" Seongwoo asked.

Samuel smiled and climbed down from the DJ's booth, "OMG guys, get up! It's time to play spin the bottle!" he exclaimed while jumping up and down like a little kid.
