SIX MONTHS LATER
"Potter?" You called out softly.
You walked slowly down the hall, looking from room to room. Finally home after the last couple of weeks, looking for the small furry creature. The house was quiet as you wandered to the back room, pushing the closet door open the rest of the way.
"Potter?" You pushed the shoes and the dress coat out of your way looking in the back corner where he had taken up his residence. No luck, all you managed to see was bits of grey fluff. You turned around and looked at the king size bed, walking over and looked under. Thinking you caught a glimpse you laid on your stomach the best you could and wiggled under. You heard the front door open and shut.
"Chris? Where is Potter?" You called out from under the bed, realizing what you had seen was one of his old tennis shoes. It had been six months since that night the two of you bared your feelings in the dark house. You flew back with him, unsure of what lay ahead. The two of you went public, staying as close to the truth as you could. That you had met in a diner and had been keeping your relationship a secret. It was relief no longer hiding, being able to be with Chris and not be afraid that someone would find out. Only four people knew the truth of your relationship.
Anthony would never tell a soul, he was just happy that Chris had found happiness and told you how he really felt. Sebastian kept what he knew to himself, in the end he explained to Chris that he had heavily intoxicated that night. And had apologized profusely to the two of you, even going as far as buying the animal you were currently looking for. You had forgiven him, in part cause had it not been for him, you weren't sure if there would of been the catalyst to the this turning point in your lives. You were sure one day the two of you would of had that turning point but who knew if the two of you would be here at this moment together.
"Did you lose the kitten already?" He yelled back coming down the hall and looking at you. He leaned against the doorway, smiling to himself. You were half wiggled under the bed, your shorts riding up. Still not seeing the fluffy grey bundle of fur. "Sweetheart, if we going to go have breakfast with my mom I don't think you want to wear your pjs. Not that I would mind, the view of your ass is spectacular."
"Oh my god Evans, you are not helping!" You quipped back wiggling your body back out from underneath. You stood up, hands on yours hips, hair in a messy knot, locks framing your face. Looking around the room frantically for the kitten. Hoping like hell he hadn't gotten out when Chris had left the door open Dodger.
"Potter was curled up in our guest room, spreading his fur through every inch of the house last I saw." He stated smiling as he crossed the room to you. "Now, I would really like you to meet my mom and I think your stalling. It's been six months and we can't cancel, we are slowly running out of time. Considering the whole world knows we're together."
"You bet your ass I'm stalling, meeting the most important woman in your life, kind of nerve wracking." You responded sitting on the edge of the bed. You fidgeted with your fingers, suddenly feeling nervous. "What if she doesn't like me?"
"Y/n, my mom is the second most important woman in my life, right after you, and she is going to you love you, cause I love you. That and you're kind of carrying her grandkid." He said crossing over to where you sat. He leaned down and gave you a slow kiss, his hand splaying over the small bump on your tummy. The action sent butterflies through your stomach thinking of all the firsts you would get have with this man. "Now get your ass in gear, baby girl, we got things to do today."
