Chris woke to your side of the bed being cold, he looked over his shoulder towards the bathroom and paused to listen. When he didn't hear anything he pulled the covers back and quietly swung his legs over the bed. He stood and walked to open doorway to your adjacent room, every light was still off but he could see all of your stuff was gone. His heart dropped as he ran inside looking for you even though he knew you had left.
Chris rushed back to his room snatching up his phone and dialed your number. It went straight to voicemail.
"Y/n, where are you?" He asked, his own voice sounded desperate to him. "Call me back please."
Quickly he threw on sweats and t shirt, Chris pulled his shoes on in a hurry. Since your luggage was missing he knew there was only one place you could be headed. He called a cab to come get him as he left his room and raced down the hall, his heart beating a mile a minute the conversation with Anthony Mackie still resonating in his head from earlier in the night.
"So, when you going to admit you love her?" Anthony asked, leaning against the bar counter. People milled about dressed in their best, making it hard to see you at the table.
"That obvious?" Chris asked, grabbing his drink from the counter, taking a long sip.
"Dude, I think the space station could see it." Anthony retorted earning a hard laugh from Chris. He looked over and saw Sebastian sitting with you, he was leaned in close saying something in your ear, the blank look on your face make his stomach knot up.
"Catch ya in a bit, I gotta go see what Seb is telling her." Chris said slowly leaving the other man, grabbing your drink and making his way cross the room.
Chris shook his head as he sat in the back of the cab, he should of known. Sebastian had of told you. That night when the three of them went drinking, he had blurted it out without thinking. Cris knew the mistake as it had left his lips, and had regretted it every moment since knowing some day it would come back to bit him in the ass. And tonight it had.
As the cab pulled up to the air port Chris chucked a couple hundred in the front and booked it into the building. He ran straight to the front desk, asking about any flights to Boston, and the attendant replied which concord to go down. Chris kept repeating to himself the phrase 'don't have left, don't have left'.

You heart was heavy as you looked over the inky black scenery, every now and then a flash of light would brighten the dark sky. The plane leveled out, announcing that you could move about the plane. All you could was sink further down into your seat, wishing for all your thoughts and feelings to go away. A small part of you chided yourself, you knew deep down that this would of been the only outcome.
Yet, you had still went with it anyway. You only had yourself to blame, a slow tear trickled it's way down your cheek. You had almost turned and left to go back to hotel after you bought the ticket, confront him about it. But for what use, tell him the truth? Cause a fight? Hell, maybe he had told all his friends that he was paying you for sex, boasting about it.
You had decided when you got back to the house Chris was paying for you to live in, you would pack up the few items that were yours and go back home. Tail tucked between your legs and give in to the things your family and friends had said, you couldn't make it on your own.
You rested your head against the cool pane next to you, eye lids becoming heavy as a storm raged beneath your plane and in your mind.

The cab had dropped you off at the house you had been living in. Again your heart sunk as you looked down at the flowers months ago you had planted. You had been so happy, and now they were just another reminder. Slowly you walked up to the front door, unlocking it as you stepped in. You crossed into the dark living room tears falling freely.
"Don't lie, tell me what's the matter." He said softly, making you jump in surprise.
"You told him." You finally said, tears slipped from your eyes, trailing down your cheeks. A part you wondered how the hell he beat you home, but did it really matter?
"And I've felt guilty about it ever since." He replied softly, his hand reached out but dropped short.
"Chris, I can't do this anymore." You told him, trying to bite back the tears.
"Don't go." He voice barely above a whisper.
"I.. I have to." You replied, stuttering slightly.
"Don't leave me." He breathed as you turned away, not wanting to make eye contact with him again.
You walked back over to the door, you heart racing as you attempted to keep your breathing even. Your finger touched the cool knob, Chris walked up behind you, his fingers touching your shoulder.
"Don't walk out that door, don't walk out of my life like this." He pleaded quietly, you bit down on you lip.
You looked at him out of the corner of your eye, you heart broke the minute you saw the pained look on his face. A ragged breath escaped your lips, as you look him over and back to the door.
"You told me, don't fall in love." You whispered, leaning your forehead against the door, closing your eyes. "And that's exactly what I did."
"You think your the only one?" He replied, the feel of his lips on your shoulder. "I knew I was doomed from the moment you agreed to come to California."
"Why did you tell them?" You asked, shaking your head.
"I don't know, cause I wanted to find a way to distance myself, cause Anthony told me I sounded like a man in love and I panicked. Cause I'm the worlds biggest idiot."
"You are." You chuckled, standing straight and turning to face him.
"Please tell I didn't completely fuck this up?" He asked you, you could see the pain and fear in his eyes as they looked at you.
"Chris, how can we go about anything more? The way this started, its fucked you and I both know that." You replied, even in the dark you could see those blues you had come to know so well.
"I don't know but, we'll figure it out. Just please do come back with me. Do be a part of my life as something more, do love me cause every Don't I had, I want with you."
