You stared at the man as he leaned toward you, a mischievous glint was in his eye. Slowly he looked around the room, his tongue swiping out across his bottom lip. You could feel your heart begin to race, you had no idea what Chris would of told him. You didn't even know he talked about you to anyone, especially after the way he had acted with his brother.
"I.. I don't know what you mean." You breathed, Sebastian's eyes slowly returned to yours.
"You see, Chris talks when he's been drinking. And the day before you flew out to California he got really drunk." Sebastian explained lowering his voice, your eyes finally found Chris. He was completely on the other side of the room at the bar, talking to someone, a smile on his face. "He told me about your little agreement."
"I.." You breathed, unable to find the words you needed to say. Sebastian reached over, sweeping a strand of your hand off your bare shoulder.
"It's alright, I'm not the type to go off and tell people." He whispered, leaning in closer to your shoulder, his breath fanned out across your skin. "My question is, does he know that you actually have feelings for him? I've been watching you for the past hour, the way you look at him, the light touches, coy smiles."
"I don't know what you're talking about." You tried to say with force but it came out weak, hallow.
"To which part, the fact you fuck him for money or the fact you are completely and utterly, hopelessly in love him?" His reply came. You tried to remember how to breath as you closed your eyes. You could feel your world crash around your body, the fact he had broken his own rule yet again. That you were anything but what you were. You took a ragged breath, trying to push the tears that wanted to spill back.
"Hey Chris." You heard Sebastian pipe up, you opened your eyes looking up at Chris.
His crystal blue eyes looking down at you, a smile on his face and two glasses in his hands. His eyes flicked from you to Sebastian, his eyes narrowed a bit as he took a seat on the other side of you. You could feel your heart hammering as you tried to process the information that Sebastian had just uttered. You weren't sure exactly at the moment how to feel. Disgust at the fact he knew you were sleeping with Chris for money, betrayal because Chris had actually told someone about your arrangement. The pain that followed that Sebastian could even see that you were in fact completely and utterly, hopelessly in love with Chris that you knew that this would end in heartbreak.
Slowly you looked over at Chris, seeing those blue eyes sparkle sent a pain straight through you. You couldn't react the way you wanted to, which at the moment was run out of the building into the night. You forced a smile to him, taking a deep breath.
"So I see you've met Seb." He said, looking past you to the other man.
"She's completely charming, just like you said she was." Sebastian stated, you dared not turn to face him, your eyes locked onto the other man. You willed Sebastian to go away, for the night to end. "I should probably go see what Mackie is doing, make sure he's staying out of trouble."
"See ya tomorrow." Chris smiled as Sebastian patted his shoulder before leaving the two of you alone. You let your eyes drop to the silk table cloth, telling yourself not to cry.
"You okay?" Chris asked softly, leaning forward grabbing one of your hands. You glanced up taking a breath, nodding.
"Yeah, just a bit tired." You lied softly, crossing your fingers that he couldn't hear the distress in your voice.
"Sweetheart, if you want we can go back to the hotel." His words came out, as he squeezed your hand.
"I.." You looked around the room, people smiling and laughing. When your eyes returned to his you felt completely lost and alone for the first time since you had agreed to do this with him. "Chris, you should stay. I can catch a cab back to the hotel."
"No, it's alright, I'm tired as well and events like this aren't my favorite thing." He smiled as he stood helping you to your feet.
The two of you left, Chris pausing every once in a while to say bye to someone he knew. You put on a fake myself and shook hands with even more people you knew you would never see again. It's was quiet ride back to the hotel, watching out the window trying ignore the man's gaze that was surely on you. You weren't sure what to say, or even how to bring it up.
You bit your bottom lip, cursing yourself for falling for him the way that you did. And even though you knew he had broken so many of his own rules a part of you wasn't mad. There had always been that chance that someone would find out that Chris was just your sugar daddy, but you didn't expect him to be the one to spill the beans.
When the two of you made it to the hotel rooms you still had yet to talk and an uneasy tension had started to building. You entered through your door as he had gone in through his. You flicked on the lights and went to the bathroom to get out of the dress and scrub your face, as if taking everything off made the night never happen. You opted for a shower instead, washing every part of you clean before coming out wrapped in a towel.
Chris was sitting on the edge of your bed, his suit jacket was gone and his tie was loosen. His eyes raised when he heard you step out. His eyes narrowed a bit as he stared at you.
"Though I told you not to lie to me." He said softly, watching your face very closely.
"Chris.." you started out as you crossed over to your suitcase.
"Don't lie me, what's the matter?" He asked, gently reaching out grabbing you by your elbow when you wouldn't look at him.
"It's nothing, I'm jet lagged that's all." You replied just above a whisper.
"What did Sebastian say?" You looked over to him at the question.
