Magnus knocked on Jamie's bedroom door and only entered after hearing a soft, "Come in."

He found Jamie sitting on the bed, now wearing a different set of bet clothes, and Clary sitting next to her, picking glass out of her knuckles.

"How are we doing?" Magnus asked.

"We are definitely surviving. You might want to come take a look at this." Clary held Jamie's hand towards him.

Magnus took her hand softly, but she still jumped. He could tell that she was apprehensive of him because he looked so much like his father. "Yes, you did quite a number I see. Mind if I use my magic to heal it and take the pain away?" Jamie shook her head and Magnus snapped his fingers and hovered his hand over hers. Immediately, the skin on her knuckles started stitching itself back together.

"Wow." Was all Jamie said with wide eyes. "There's not even a scar."

"Amazing isn't it?" Magnus chuckled, and so did Clary. "There's a meeting in library. You two are invited to joins us. We'll be discussing you, Jamie."

"Me?"

"Yes. We've found some answers to your mysterious past."

"Really? Who am I?"

"Well..." Magnus realized that she might not like the answers she was going to hear. How was he supposed to explain that her father only had her to sell her as a slave? "You might not like the truth. I wanted to explain it to you before I told everyone else, so it wouldn't be such a shock." What was he saying? He knew it was going to shock her no matter how he explained it.

"I just want to know."

"Well, I have a couple of friends, Jem and Tessa, who have been following your case before I had even heard of it. They got word of a few downworlders who have been wanting to overthrow the Clave."

"Who's the Clave?" Jamie inturrupted.

Clary was the one who answered her question. "They are basically the government of the shadow world. They're in charge and write the laws that all of us have to follow."

"Yes." Magnus continued. "Turns out that these downworlders want to overthrow the Clave and rebuild it so that shadowhunters and those who obey the Clave are extinct. In order to do this without notice of the Clave, they got in contact with Asmodeus. Remember talking about him earlier today?"

"Your father?." Jamie responded to Magnus' question.

"Yes. He was also your keeper. They contacted him and he agreed to give them someone who could do some tasks and deliver messages between them."

"What are you saying, Magnus?" Clary asked, figuring out where he was going.

"These downworlders have been planning to take down the Clave for many years, though its only been noticed recently. They went to Asmodeus many years ago and he had a child who he kept in Edom with him while they grew up and could be sent to the downworlders. That child..." He found it hard to say. "That child was you, Jamie."

"What do you mean? I'm confused. Are you saying that I am..." Jamie couldn't find the words she needed; She didn't know them.

"You are the daughter of Asmodeus. We don't know who your mother is. There is no lines to follow to find that information. What we do know is that you are, in fact, a warlock."

"No, I'm not. I don't want to be. No!" Jamie tucked herself into Clary's arms.

"Jamie, I'm so sorry. I wish it was different." Magnus started to cry as well.

Clary was the next to speak. "I have a question. If Asmodeus if her father, doesn't that make her your sister?"

"It does." Magnus put a hand on Jamie's back, trying to console her. "We're family, Jamie."

"Family. I have family." Jamie started to perk up.

"You do."

Magnus coxed the girls out of the room and to the library where everyone else was waiting for them. He explained everything again and had a lot more questions to answer.

"How did Jem and Tessa figure all of that out?" Simon asked.

"A warlock came to them. Apperantly, the 'leader,' for lack of a better word, had started to take more aggressive steps and he feared for what was going to happen if they succeeded at overthrowing the Clave, so he left and ask Tessa for help." Magnus answered.

"So we're talking about a 'new age' downworlder circle?"

"Pretty much."

"So know we all know the truth." Jamie said. "What do we do now?"

"We find the downworlders trying to over throw the Clave and we stop them." Izzy spoke up.

Everyone agreed, though not everyone agreed on how to go about the large task. Clary thought the Clave should know and Simon figured that they wouldn't believe them. They argued for the better part of an hour and agreed to notify the Clave, whether they believed them or not; they still needed to know that Jamie was in the institute. Everyone split off and went to their personal rooms and agreed to start research in the morning.
