Chapter 11: The concert

After a long wait the countdown began for the concert to start. Sarah, Sam and I were told to go in the barrier areas where the security was if we wanted to watch the concert at all.

I told Paul about the whole surprising Harry with Emily thing and how everyone knew except for Harry. Paul said that he could keep Harry preoccupied while Sam went and got Emily for us. I thanked him and I gave Sam a nod telling her to go and get Emily.

Paul rounded up all of the boys and gave them a pep talk. “Now I know for a fact that Niall and Louis might be a bit nervous as it is the first time they are performing in front of Emma and Sarah as their girlfriends. So I ask you Liam, Harry and Zayn to keep them energetic and be as silly as you want. Just make sure you sing the right songs at the right times and don’t forget the dance routines. You boys can do it! There are over a thousand girls out there screaming your names! Now the countdown is over! GO, GO, GO!” Paul said

The boys all ran out onto the stage jumping and fist pumping the air. They said hi to everyone and introduced the first song they were singing and then started singing Na Na Na.

Sam quietly came back with Emily and we snuck her into the security barriers with no fans or Harry seeing her. We sat her down on a stool behind a curtain and waited for the signal from Zayn to bring her up side stage.

After they finished singing Na Na Na, Zayn gave us the thumbs up to go side stage. As we got there Louis started speaking into the microphone.

“Now as you all may know, Niall and Emma started dating today. Well Eleanor and I unfortunately broke up earlier today. But the reason is I fell in love with a girl who is a fan and can take a joke. Not saying that Eleanor couldn’t either. I just felt my heart spark when I first saw this girl. She is actually backstage right now!” Louis said through the screaming “Sarah why don’t you come out here and say hello to everyone?”

Sarah walked out to join Louis and the others on stage. As she stood next to Louis he put his left arm around her shoulder.

The audience all went dead silent to the point you would be able to hear a pin drop.

Zayn grabbed his microphone and started talking into it.

“Harry. There is a girl out there that you have fallen for isn’t there?” Zayn said as everyone started screaming again

Harry nodded embarrassingly.

I then grabbed Emily’s hand walked out onto the stage. Harry noticed who I was holding. His mouth dropped and his microphone slid out of his hand and fell onto the stage.

“Uhhh hello” Harry stuttered as Emily got closer to him.

I let go of Emily’s hand and I walked over to Niall which was holding a walkie talkie one of the fans must have thrown on stage. Niall put it up to the air to show he had it and then put it close to his ear and his microphone so himself everyone could hear what the fan wanted to say. I could hear what the fan said and she gave us her twitter name and asked us to follow her.

After about 5 minutes of being on stage I grabbed Sarah and Emily and we all went backstage again for the rest of the concert. Once we got behind the curtains we got Sam and went to the dressing room to talk to Emily.

“So Emily what happened?” Sam asked

“Well harry was kind of silent most of the time but he then told me how he came up to Newcastle looking for me. Honestly I think it is the cutest thing in the entire world.” Emily answered

“So it was definitely worth the wait on and under the tourbus?” Sam asked

“Yes! I could have waited for over a year and it would still be worth it!” Emily said enthusiastically.

Sarah, Sam and I all sat around and chatted about little things like girls would until the concert was over.
