Chapter 21: London and unexpected surprises

I woke up to the bumping and shaking of the plane landing in London.

I got up and walked out into the cold air. I quickly put on my red woolly jumper and walked down the stairs that was connected to the plane and out onto the runway.

I was still half asleep but I was soon wide awake with all the fans screaming in my ears. As we all walked into the terminal I thought it would be better. But no, It was worse. The screams echoed throughout the whole building, there were people screaming out the lyrics to What Makes You Beautiful, but the one thing that stood out to me the most was a girl wearing a kangaroo suit holding a sign saying “Welcome to England Emma and Sarah”.

I walked straight over to the girl holding the sign and said hi to her while she introduced herself to me. Just before I was going to take a photo with the girl Sarah walked over and said hello to the girl and jumped in the photo with us. Sarah and I quickly signed the girl’s poster before running off catching up to the boys who were now about 10 meters ahead of us.

As we were walking out of the terminal, a small orchestra started playing romantic music. I looked around to see where it was coming from and it ended up being right in front of me.

Niall took my hand and looked me straight in the eyes.

“I love you Emma.” Niall said charmingly

“I love you too” I said not thinking of the obvious surroundings.

Before I knew it Niall was on one knee.

“Do you remember when you were playing spin the bottle truth or dare and you said you would marry me even though we only met a few days ago?” Niall asked looking really nervous.

“Yes” I said knowing what Niall’s next words would be.

“Well then” Niall said clearing his throat. “Will you marry me?”

Everybody in the terminal went quiet. I could feel every single eye on me waiting for my answer. I could hear a small chant start off quiet with one person and then everybody joining in.

“Say yes, Say yes, Say yes!” Everybody chanted

“Yes! Yes! Yes I will marry you!” I screamed trying on the ring with a shiny diamond.

Niall got up off the ground and pulled me into a long passionate kiss. I could hear all the screaming and wolf whistling around me but I just decided to let it all slide knowing that it was going to be my whole life now.

Niall and I started walking with the rest of the boys and Sarah. Of course being the girl she is Sarah ran over to me and admired the shiny, diamond ring that I was wearing on my ring finger.

“It feels weird.” I said to Sarah.

“What feels weird?” Sarah asked

“I have never worn a ring on that finger before and it just feels weird suddenly having one on that finger now.” I said

Sarah agreed and kept walking. As we all walked out of the terminal Sarah and I saw the familiar faces we have loved and missed for the past 2 days.

“Hello girls” My dad said in a very sophisticated manner.

Sarah and I ran up to our families and reunited with them. When my dad hugged me he lifted me up off the ground and squeezed me tight around my waist. As he put me down he saw my engagement ring.

“What’s this?” He asked sternly

“Its an engagement ring. I proposed to her just moments before inside the terminal Sir.” Niall said very nervously.

“Oh” Dad said pausing for a minute making my heart skip a beat and probably everyone else’s around too. “Congratulations mate, welcome to the family!”

I sighed in relief and gave Niall a quick peck on the cheek.
