Paging Dr. Vulcano

Chapter 3

Faith and Nicole walked out of the venue and made their way around the building and to the parking area where they were dropped off by their Uber earlier that night.

"Did that all just happen?" Faith was asking in disbelief.

"Yeah it did. You're going over to Sal's hotel! AND HE KISSED YOU!!"

"Wow! I can't believe this is all happening."

Faith was in complete shock over the night's events. He was actually meeting up with her after! Sal Vulcano was her first kiss. After a significant time passed of the two freaking out, Nicole interrupted the fan-girling with reason...

"You want me to call the Uber?" Nicole questioned Faith.

"Yeah we mind as well, I have no idea when Sal's going to text me."

"Ok" Nicole said as she typed away ordering the Uber from her phone.

About 15 minutes later Faith and Nicole got into the Uber which had arrived. They gave the driver instructions to get them back to Nicole's house. Once back to the house they managed to settle in and decided to open the six-pack of Rosé they had bought earlier.

"When do you think he'll text you" Nicole asked.

"I don't know its been about an hour now".

"Are you nervous?"

"A little but not bad. At least I've met him and I know he likes me. Plus this will take some of the edge off. Nothing like liquid courage!" Faith said holding up her partially drunk second bottle.

"Yeah you don't need any of that. I saw you meet him half way. Where'd that courage come from? Shy little Faith got some balls tonight! All that hyping up tonight in your head helped didn't it?" Nicole replied.

"Yeah I guess it did. But what am I going to do Sal Vulcano was right in front of me getting closer and closer to kissing me. Of course I'm going to do something."

After a pause in the conversation and the remainder of her second bottle, Faith spoke up,

"Do you think I should change?"

"Yeah lets go see. I have stuff in my closet you can see if there's something in there you might like."

Faith changed out of her shirt and into a tighter shirt with a bit more of a plunge she kept her jeans and heels on because they did wonders for her figure. Right then Faith's phone rang and Sal's contact popped up on her lock screen. Both Faith and Nicole launched for the bed where her phone was to read what he had said.

"Hey Faith! This is Sal. I'm back in my room. Room 1415" Sal had texted her. Then shortly after, "I guess you knew that because I already texted you that it was me from before. Well now you can tell you've got me all nervous."

"Sounds good! I'm leaving Nicole's in a few min. I'll let you know when I get there!" and "Don't you worry about it. I'm right there with you on the nervousness" Faith responded.

"HURRY put this shirt on! Back curl this piece of hair it looks weird!" Nicole said

"I don't think he'll notice, he's probably the one who moved it when he kissed me"

Nicole was practically ushering Faith out the door. Faith called an Uber earlier that way she didn't have to pay for hotel parking.

"I'm on my way" Faith texted Sal once in her Uber. She took a deep breath trying to keep herself calm as best as she could, although she knew that wasn't realistic. The car ride felt like an eternity of jumbled emotions.
