Jenny's POV
~~~~~~~~~~I yanked the screen door open and slammed it shut behind me. Tears streamed down my face and I sobbed uncontrollably. I paused for a second at the bottom of the staircase. Two-Bit had noticed me. He tried to get up and follow me, a concerned look overtook his face, looking strange on him.
I flew up the steps, threw myself into my room, and locked the door. I threw my clothes into a pile on the floor and changed into an old t shirt and worn sweatpants. I fell onto the bed, with my head in my hands.
How could he do this? After all of the times that we were there for each other. The Dallas I knew would have never done this. Never. What if he was really gone?
For years, I had survived because I knew I had to see him again, but I guess he hadn't. The years had changed him into a criminal, and there was nothing I could do. Even if the real him still existed, Dally would never show that side of himself.
"Jenny? Are you okay?" Two-Bit asked, lightly knocking on my door. I wiped the tears off of my face with the hem of my faded blue shirt and opened the door. He walked in and sat down on my bed, "What happened?"
"D-D-Dally..." I managed to choke out before I started sobbing uncontrollably into my hands.
"What did he do?" Two-Bit asked, serious for once in his life. I tried to stop crying, and between sobs I told him what had happened. I knew this time that I couldn't get Dallas back. Ever.
Two-Bit tried to comfort me, but obviously he wasn't very good at it, so he began telling jokes, hoping I would laugh instead of crying. I guess that's really the only way he knows to deal with these situations. Eventually, he left me alone, and I fell asleep.
I tossed and turned all night. I would dream of Dally, but the dreams would always end with him walking away from me. His shoulders were slumped and he would briefly hesitate when I called for him to come back. Yet, every time, he would continue on.
At some point, I gave up on trying to sleep. I walked downstairs and went to stand on the porch. The night air calmed me. I shivered a little and decided to go back inside. As I did, a voice spoke from a shadowy corner.
