After Perci finally let go of the little boy, her gaze hardened as she stood up slowly, grabbing her crutches in the process, she squeezed his hand once more before asking him, "Eri, please head inside, I'll be right in and we can do anything you'd like, I just need to talk to the fates a bit, k?"

He nodded happily and ran inside.

"You know," Perci drawled, a few white tendrils dancing up and down her arms, "I've never actually been bashed up this bad."

Clotho spoke up, "you have to understand-"

"No, I don't need to understand. You need to explain, why the hades, there is an insane psychopathic murderer with the same power as me allowed free reign to terrorize the known universe!"

"The son of mors, was a hero centuries ago. And just like you, he was disgraced and betrayed. We wanted to give him a chance. He couldn't control the power and it turned him insane. He couldn't forgive himself and start anew. He was stuck on the idea of revenge and war. But unlike him, you did. We did not destroy him, because that was for you, you had to meet him, to understand. We all know you noticed that your magic had stopped responding, it had become volatile, dangerous. You had to figure it out yourself." Throughout the mini-speech they alternated on who spoke. The white bed sheets they wore flowed like cloudy water. The form they had appeared in was young woman with brown hair and a golden wreath.

Perci scowled, "and sure, I have that knowledge, my magic has healed. Why did I have to suffer? Why did I have to be scared? It would have been fine if I was doing it for the people, but why do I have to always suffer so much at your hands?!"

Atropos sighed, "Perci, it was necessary."

"We wish it hadn't been," Lachesis continued, "and we are as sorry as it can be, but you will and do need it. You are learning to except your past, eventually you will need to learn to love your scars."

The bandages were starting to turn a bloody red, the fates flicked their hands in unison, and it was cleaned, the wrappings redone, the wounds restitched, and the crutches more comfortable. Perci kept a glare on her face for a few more seconds before it fell, and she just sighed tiredly, "alright. I'll listen. Just let me spend some time with Eridani before you send me away again, alright?"

Clotho smiled as the other two disappeared, "you two will be going on a sort of vacation. We have taught Eridani the very bare and maybe even less minimum of the human world. And for a little bit you two can peacefully, with as much normalcy as possible, live in the normal world."

Perci's mouth dropped in shock, "r-really? What about a backstory? The expenses? A place to live? And what about stupid Zeus? He would never let this-"

The fates smiled, "we have sent you to many different universes, you now own a dragon, a spaceship, and a lot of penguins. Everything will be looked after and explained, any not normal tendencies of yours, will be covered."

"You said a sort of vacation?"

"You are almost twenty, dear champion. And though you wouldn't exactly prefer it, your mother dreamed of sending you to a good university as she could not. Do you accept.
