Previous Chapter:

"Things like what?"

"The sterotype of 'that's all girls are useful for'."

Perci smiled at him, "meh, to much effort to fight against the world, plus I got a good snogging out of it, and I can do other things. Just this is a little easier to do."

Prince Torve rolled his eyes before the two of them looked around at all the hopeful faces of prisoners. He sighed, "what do you want to do?"

The woman with gold eyes smiled at him with a dark glint in her eyes, "I've always wanted to cause a good prison break."

"Then a prison break it shall be."

Now:

The murmurs of the prisoners got louder, they were getting excited. Perci had already open a couple cells, going as fast as she could to unlock all the chains, Apparently all the other prisoners were chained together. It was annoying. Like really annoying.

Torve tapped his foot impatiently every so often shushing the prisoners who had wide eyes, not expecting to be freed. He groaned as he saw how many more cells their were to go, and with only one key this process would not get any quicker. "Take your time why don't you!'

Perci glared, "would you like to do this?"

"No! Why not just let one of the prisoners do it and then we can get out of here!"

"They want to get out of here too idiot! Think with your head, not with you're butt!"

He groaned hitting his head against the cold wall, half glaring at all the wall. When he realized what he was doing he grumbled, "look what you've done! I haven't smiled in hours! I'm turning into you!"

She gasped sarcastically, "well then how bout' you sing us a song, that'll be sure to make you all cheery with daises floating around you!"

"Daisies?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

She shook her head ignoring him, mumbling about how he was an idiot and all that blah. She continued to unlock cages and chains, and even she was starting to get worried. Both of them understood if they didn't leave soon, they would be right back in these cells. The prisoners seemed to be getting that too as they were growing more and more restless. Suddenly a man stepped out of the crowd, he was old and the time in this dark prison had not treated him well.

He spoke, his voice hoarse, "give me they keys. Prince Torve and company go finish your mission."

Both looked at him confused. Perci asked, "why would you..."

"Would I sacrifice myself?" He shook his head, the pointy ears becoming apparent and a tatoo on his neck stood out to Torve, "I have been here for a long time, my duty is to serve his majesty, I was a cowered years ago, might as well die in service."

Torve gasped finally recognizing the tattoo, "you're from the thirteenth war! But- But that was years ago! Before I was born! You've been here all this time?"
