Perci smiled as she thought over the last few weeks, scrubbing at the dishes in the red top diner. After the night at the bar, Calix finally had the guts to stand up and properly asks her out, and she could officially say, they had been dating for the last few weeks.
Since the vacation had started, life had been the easiest it had ever been for. Now, more than ever, she never wanted to leave this world. With its people and colours and overall happiness. What more could she want?
She wasn't exiled here. No one tried to hurt her except for the little time in the beginning.
Eridani as well had fallen in love, he had friends, he had his school, and his older 'sister'. Sure they missed the penguins, but after so long of fighting for their lives and for survival, this was a wonderful break.
Thank Chaos for the fates.
Everything seemed perfect. Everything was just going right! Recently even the war against the terrorists in Greece was won, the enemies had surrendered and allies had won! Sure, the battle was long and hard, but in the end, to Perci at least, it was all worth it.
As the war had finished, veterans began to poor in waves into the school, with the university having no choice but to except them once they qualified. And the need for psychology was more needed then ever before, for victims and soldiers who were involved in the war. Perci was ready to build a life here in New York.
Perci sat before the mirror as she got ready for school, touching up on her face with products of all sort. Eyeliner, mascara, blush, lipstick, foundation and so on and so on. She found applying makeup relaxing, though who knows why.
Quickly stuffing her books in her bag, she got into the car and exited on to the main road. Mentally groaning, she had work tonight and Calix had said he was busy. So he probably wouldn't even make it to the diner, fourteen minutes before closing.
When they started dating, every time he came, he would come with flowers or something else, spoiling her with gifts. He was so sweet, goofy, sarcastic, an awesome guy and such a romantic. Practically perfect right? Perci felt like she was walking on clouds, when she had dated Andrew, back in her own old old world, he never did anything special. For all the books he read, he never learnt how to be romantic instead being awkward and stiff, unless Andrew wanted something from Perci.
The day seemed to drag on with teachers warning their classes about final deadlines and tests that were coming up, Perci rolled her eyes. Didn't they ever find anything else to talk about?
Okay sure, that was a bit rude, but come on. She was already grumpy, just thinking about having to work until late tonight.
She rarely saw Eridani nowadays because of it, half the time she was either working or doing 'homework', the other half she was sleeping, going to school and hanging out with her new boyfriend.
