Most toddlers at the age of three are learning how to ride a tricycle, running around the house, and getting potty trained. But not (Y/N) (L/N).

It all started when (Y/N) was three-years-old. They don't remember how or what happened. All they remember is screaming at their six-year-old brother to give them back their stuffed lion. That's when they began to feel warm. Very warm. They watched in confusion as their brother's eyes widened and like any terrified six-year-old, he started screaming.  He dropped the lion and started running away, his words echoing throughout (Y/N)'s mind.

"Monster! Monster! Monster!"

(Y/N) remembers picking up the toy and hugging it as if their life depended on it. When the anger disappeared, their temperature dropped and a dizzy feeling overtook them. Then, everything went black.

It only got worse from there. Things started happening that (Y/N) couldn't explain; let alone understand. They could move things with their mind, they could change the weather, they could control things that weren't meant to be controlled. Now as someone who wasn't (Y/N), they might say, "You have powers?! That's so cool!" But it wasn't cool. It was miserable because all of their powers relied on their emotions. So when they were mad, something bad would happen. When they were upset, something disappointing would happen. Even when they were bored, sometimes, something would happen at the random.

Of course, when they were calm, control was easier. But it didn't stay that way for long.

As they got older, although the overall control of their powers had increased immensely, (Y/N) discovered that simply controlling things wasn't the only thing they could do. They could turn things off with a simple movement, they could make things grow if they really tried. They could do everything.

But just as it was in the past, it all relied on their emotions.

And sometimes, their emotions get the best of them.
