"(Y/N)?"You walked slowly to bodies, wanting to believe that this was some sick joke. But you prayed that it wasn't. That your only remaining family was lying in front of you. You reached out to find a pulse, praying you'd find one.
But before you could touch them, they shot up, gasping for air. You jumped back, watching as they looked around the room, at the team, then finally at you. You stared at each other for what seemed like forever, before (Y/S/N) leapt in your arms, sobbing. "(Y/N/N)!"
You stared ahead of you, tears flowing down your face. You shakily wrapped your arms around her small frame, tears wracking your body.
When you lifted your head to look at (Y/B/N), your hopeful spirit left you. (Y/B/N) looked at you, hate in his eyes. You let go of (Y/S/N) and looked (Y/B/N) up and down, taking note of his figure. His hair was longer, he had more muscle and he was much more intimidating than before. But you weren't about to back down.
"What happened (Y/N)? Where've you been? Huh? You swore that you would always protect us. That you'd save us when we needed saving." (Y/B/N) asked.
"(Y/B/N)-" You started.
"NO!" He screamed. "YOU WEREN'T THERE, (Y/N)! YOU WEREN'T THERE WHEN WE NEEDED YOU! YOU WEREN'T THERE WE NEARLY DIED! YOU WEREN'T THERE WHEN WE WERE BEATEN FOR INFORMATION WE DIDN'T KNOW! YOU WEREN'T THERE WHEN WE WERE EXPERIMENTED ON! YOU. WEREN'T. THERE!"
With that, his body erupted in flames, just like yours did when you were mad. You were too horror struck to see him lunging at you until his blazing hand was inches from your face. You braced yourself for the burn but it never came. You opened your eyes to see him frozen in front of you.
"Don't touch (him/her)."
You turned to see (Y/S/N) with her arm stretched out and her eyes glowing, just like yours. Except, they were white.
(Y/S/N) threw (Y/B/N) across the room, onto the couch. He stood up and glared at the two of you, but he extinguished the flames.
You looked back and forth between them. "When did you get powers?" You asked.
"When we were being experimented on, they injected us with something." (Y/S/N) explained.
"What did it look like?" You asked.
"It was some blue serum." (Y/B/N) stated.
"Oh no." Steve exclaimed.
You turned towards the team, forgetting they were there. "What?" You asked.
"The super soldier serum. They injected Bucky and I with it. Made us like this." Steve explained.
"Is there anyway to get rid of it? I'd really like to be normal again." (Y/S/N) released (Y/B/N), the glow slowly fading from her eyes.
"Not without killing you." Steve replied, eyes downcast.
"Great, so the so-called heroes are completely useless." (Y/B/N) sneered. You sent him a glare before turning back to (Y/S/N). "Is there anything else we should know?" You asked.
She shrugged. "I don't think so."
You nodded and embraced her once again. "I'll show you guys to my room. You can wash up there."
(Y/S/N) nodded and you led her and to your room with (Y/B/N) trailing close behind. When you arrived, you opened the door to the connected bathroom. "(Y/S/N), you can share my room. (Y/B/N), there's a room right through that door." You explained, pointing to (Y/C/N)'s old room. "There should be some clothes in there."
