I throw my purse on the couch next to me, and I slouch. What is happening? This fucking student is making me some kind of way. She is so persistent. I cannot let her get to me. This is my student. I have always been very professional in my line of work for the past five years. I just can't let some eighteen year old teen knock me off track. I need to get a handle on it. I know I should report her to the office, but I feel like she will give up. I have seen her behaviour in my classes. I can tell that she is not serious about anyone or anything. I know for sure she will give up in the upcoming days.

I shower, quickly, and pick up the phone to return Joy's call, she answers on the first ring.

"Tell me you changed your mind. Give me another chance, Lyss. Please?"

"Joy, I'm calling to let you know that Sunday is a good day to come get the rest of your things. I have something to do tomorrow so Sunday you can come."

Joy is my ex. I caught her red-handed. She couldn't even deny anything. I'm glad I did. I was suspicious for a while but had no evidence of what she was doing. I'm so done with her. That's the one thing that I cannot tolerate... a cheater. She is that.

"Lyss, I'm so very sorry. It won't happen again. Just give me another chance."

"Goodnight, Joy."

I hang up the phone and pull my covers. I need rest.

Waking up early Saturday morning, I get up and make breakfast. Not every day I can do this, so I want to take advantage of this morning.

After breakfast and showering, I dress. I want to do some shopping. I make a note to buy me some new bras. I need padded bras. My mind goes to Amy, and padded bras sound good to me. She always let her eyes stray there.

Walking with two handbags making my way to lunch, I see Joy. Damn it! This is not what I want right now. She spots me and is making her way over.

"Alyssa, you look amazing."

Her eyes roam my body. I'm wearing white shorts, a black top, and flats. My hair is open.

"Hi, Joy. I'm sorry, I don't have much time. I'm off-"

I don't get to finish when Amy walks up. Is this really my luck today?

"Hi, Ms. Wade," Amy greets.

"Hi, Amy. How are you?"

Joy speaks, "Alyssa, can we have lunch together? I need to talk to you."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Ms. Wade. I thought you asked me to meet you here to select the new materials for the cheerleaders."

What?! Even though I don't want to see Amy right now, I, especially, don't want to eat with Joy. In some strange way, she may have just saved me the back and forth with Joy.

"Joy, I'm sorry. There are some things I need to take care of for school."

She nods and walks off, reminding me she will stop by tomorrow.
