A few days later, I noticed Joy still following me. I made a report against her, and I now have a restraining order against her.
The restraining order seems to have worked. It has now been going on a month, and I haven't seen her. I am very happy about this. The only thing killing me is the fact that I can't get a date with Amy. Whatever interactions we have have to be done on the campus. I would sneak little changing room moments with her, and after class moments, but they were very brief. We have to be careful.
I must say that Amy has been handling it very well. She complains a little, but I understand because I feel the same way she does. I just want to be sure Joy is totally out of the picture.
Amy has rekindled her relationship with Maria. She still refers to her as Maria but shows her the love and respect she always has before. Maria seems to be quite happy. I am sure that with time, Amy will be able to fully forgive them. She loves those two people.
I exit my car, feeling so happy. I run towards Sasha and hug her so tightly. I feel like it has been forever since I last saw my best friend. This is her first trip back in town. She will be here for the long weekend.
I plan on taking most of her time.
Tonight, we agreed to dinner. We sit and enjoy our food. I'm in great company. I fill her in on everything. I explain my rollercoaster experience with Amy to her. She says she can tell I am happy, and that makes her happy. I am glad for this time with Sasha to unwind and vent.I pay the bill, and we walk to the parking lot. I walk her to her car and hug her, reminding her that we have the beach to go to on Sunday. As soon as we pull away from our hug, a dark figure lunges at us. I am quick to move so the person tackles Sasha to the ground. I am screaming for help and trying to pull the person away. The person keeps swinging, and Sasha keeps fighting, too.
A crowd has formed, and the cops are now on the scene. A shot is fired, and the rumble doesn't stop. Sasha manages to knock the wind out of her attacker, and that's when she falls beside her, and the police men cuff the perpetrator. They turn the person over, and her hood falls off. Joy. She sees me and she starts cursing and yelling.
No matter how the officers are reading her her rights, she is throwing a fit. Her last echo in my ears is I love you, Alyssa.
Sasha wasn't too badly injured, and she left the Monday as planned. Before she left, she met Amy briefly. When Amy heard what happened, she was quick to show up at the hospital, where Sasha was being treated for minor scratches.
I must say that I am happy they have Joy in custody. The day I went to testify against her, I will never forget the look on her face. She has transformed into someone I no longer recognize. Her hair was a mess. Under her eyes were dark and puffy. She looked like she hadn't showered in a while. She has really let herself go. She has lost her mind. She was placed in a psychiatric center. I truly hope that they will fix her up there.
Sasha didn't forget to give her approval before she left. She still stands by her initial advice. She claims that we can make it work if we are discreet enough. I really do agree with her now. We have four more months to sneak, and then Amy and I will be official.
There is no amount of time I feel like I can't wait for Amy. I will do anything for her. I have fallen madly in love with my student, and I can't wait until her graduation.
