Hey guys I realized that before I post a bonus one shot I accidentally post an author's note before it and now I want to keep that going. So I'm going to be sharing updates on what's going on and then questions I get asked a lot

Feel free to ask me more!! I love when people ask me questions about my writing it makes me feel fuzzy inside :)

I've been very inactive lately. If you read treehouse or follow me you know that. Senior year started and it's super crazy. I'm visiting colleges, studying for the SAT which I probably should've taken junior year, being thrusted into APs once again, trying to get my driver's license, trying to get a job. It's a lot rn and my creativity isn't at its peak. I don't want to publish a bs chapter. I want to publish things I'm proud of. So me going MIA for a few weeks at a time is probably going to start being the norm.

I really want to try to stay on track with updates for this book though because I've been doing a really good job at it so far. A lot of the oneshots I've already written so it works out. I try to stay at least a week ahead of updates.

But here's a question for you. Since I decided to continue the one shots, would you like to see continuations of the bonus one shots as well? Let me know 💕

Where do you pick the words for the oneshots?

I literally search "big words that start with ___" in google. But most of the time I use vocabulary.com. They have a list of 100 SAT words for every letter of the alphabet. Most of the time there's words there that inspire me to write.

What are your rules when it comes to picking the words?

1) It can't be a word I know. I started this to get out of my comfort zone with writing and to challenge myself. I knew I couldn't do that if I picked words I already knew. I like the fun of scrolling through a list of words, coming across one, getting an idea, and writing down what comes to mind. It's what makes this a fun writing experience.

2.) It obviously can't be a synonym of a word I already did.

3.) It can't be made up. But that's a given as well.

Do the little clouds and suns have meaning?

A lot of you caught onto this. I'm proud. But if you haven't? Look closely

Yes I basically categorize my oneshots with symbols. It doesn't necessarily mean "happy or sad" though so don't think that when you see two clouds it's automatically gonna be sad. Well the ones with two suns are usually happy I'm not gonna loud. For two clouds means a lot of different things then just sad.

How do you choose which chapter gets to be a bonus?

A lot of people don't read the bonus one shots. So I pick the better one or the one I think will do better as the featured letter. I end up writing extra oneshots just because it's hard for me to choose between words so it's a win win for me.
