Yoctosecondone septillionth of a second

Y'all have no idea how hard it was to find a word that starts with Y so yes I know this is an awful, unexciting word to make a chapter with but bare with me. LMFAO

"You always fall in love so fast," Archie mumbled underneath his breath as Jughead continued to scroll down the Instagram profile of some guy he met at the mall.

"When I gave him the money our hands touched and I swear our wedding day flashed before my eyes," Jughead sighed, showing Archie another picture of the employee at the phone place they found themselves at earlier that day.

Archie hated how Jughead managed to fall in love with anyone that gave him the slightest bit of attention. Someone could accidentally bump into him and Jughead would create a whole love story about it in under a second. When Jughead fell in love he fell hard, and when his heart got broken like it always did, he fell apart.

"Alright, DM him and get it over with," Archie sighed, watching him gush over more pictures. In all honesty, the boy wasn't even that cute.

Jughead rolled his eyes. "Are you crazy? I have to wait a few days so it looks like stumbling across his profile was just a coincidence," he pointed out. He'd done it enough times, he ought to know how to play the game.

"Are you sure he swings that way?" Archie asked. Annoyance was easily detectable in his voice but Jughead chose to ignore it.

The redhead had a right to be mad. He stood by and watched Jughead fall in love with anyone with a dick, but he never ever entertained the thought of looking at Archie that way.

Perhaps it was his fault for falling in love with someone who falls in love too fast.

"I'm 98% sure," Jughead said giddily. "I can't be wrong."

"Jug, you've fallen in love with at least ten straight guys before and ended up coming to my house at 2 a.m. with tears running down your face and a pint of ice cream in your arms," Archie accused.

"Okay but it'll be different this time," he promised.

It wasn't.

Three days after Jughead fell in love, he was asked on a date by the boy at the mall. One week after that, they became a couple.

Jughead walked around more lovesick than usual, his head in the clouds and his heart in his hands. He skipped instead of walked, sang instead of talked. All he did was go on and on about the boy who fixed his phone and stole his heart. The only time he bothered with Archie was to gush about how crazy in love he was.

Archie wasn't sure anyone who could fall in love under a second could even know what that meant. Jughead could spell love, but he didn't know the first thing about it.

Archie knew what it meant.

After two weeks of dating, Jughead realized that Archie's phone worked and decided to call him at 3 in the morning.

Admittedly, it wasn't that weird of a time to call. Archie always pretended like he was up at 3 in the morning, but he really just made sure to be up that late whenever Jughead called by making his ringtone the loudest most obnoxious sound he'd ever heard.
