Today went by very slowly. I'm not even in science yet and I feel like complete shit. Math was annoying as usual and English was fucked up because our teacher sucks. I'm at lunch right now and I'm sitting with Rebecca. She's freaking out.

"I am so nervous Nik! What if the date doesn't go well? Or if he bails on me? Oh my god. What if he's actually gay and he's just using me! I can't go on that date! I'm too worried he won't lik-"

I cut her off. "Becky! Calm down. The date will be fine. Just relax, ok? Do you need help getting ready tomorrow?" She nodded and took a deep breath.

I hope she's hits it off with Jason. She'll never recover if it doesn't work out.

~Ashton's Pov~

It's 2:25. 7th period just ended. That means it's science now. I finally get to see Nikki.

I walk to my locker to grab my textbooks and notebooks. As I'm taking them out of my locker, someone comes up behind me and ruffles my hair. I turn around and I see it's Luke.

"Science time, buddy. Time to see Nikki! Yay!" He takes off right after he says that.

I'm so happy the boys like Nikki. Sure her and I aren't the best of friends yet, but I think we will be eventually. At least I hope we will.

I walk into science and see all the guys talking with Nikki. She looks so...tired. And pissed off.

"Hey, guys. Hi Nikki."

She smiles but then it disappears fast. I hate seeing her like this and I want to help, but I should just let her be.

Class was a drag. Nikki and I didn't make funny faces at each other like we had the last couple of days. It was torture. Complete torture. Science isn't fun at all. That's why I took the easiest class this year.

The bell rang and I jumped up out of my seat right away. The boys and I were going to Pizza Hut after school so I'm going to ask Nikki to come with us. I just feel like she's part of the group now.

"Hey, Nikki? Do you want to come to Piz-"

Calum interupted me and said, "NIKKI! WANT TO GO TO PIZZA HUT?" I glared at him.

"Um, sorry guys. I just don't feel like going anywhere right now. I'd rather just go home. Sorry."

I put my arm around her shoulders and said, "That's fine. I'll give you a ride home." She nodded.

I kept my arm around her until we got to the car. She's had a stressful day. I can tell.

"You can sit up front with me so you don't have to be crushed by these morons." She let out a little laugh and I smiled.

"Bye. Thanks for the ride Ash." She smiled at me as we pulled into her driveway. "Bye morons," she said to the boys. They all laughed.

As soon as she closed the door, Michael yelled, "PIZZA HUT! YEAH!!!!"

We're sitting at a booth, me next to Luke, Calum next to Michael.

I just can't stop thinking of Nikki. I wish she could've came. It would be so much more fun with her here.

"Ashton, do you miss Nikki?" Calum must have noticed how sad I looked. Now all the guys are looking at me.

I might as well tell them the truth.

"Ok. Can I tell you guys a secret? You have to promise me that you won't tell anyone, not a living soul. Promise?" They all nodded. "Well, I think I...um...like Nikki."

They all look at me and roll their eyes.

"No shit Ashton. We see the way you are with her. You seriously didn't think we knew?" Luke replied in a smartass tone.

"Seriously, Luke. I really like her. What should I do? I want to ask her out but I don't want her to say no."

"Just take her out for ice cream or to a movie." Calum says.

"Yeah. Just act like it's not a date. Just go out as friends. For all you know, she could like you too."

I smiled at the thought of her liking me back. "You guys are right. I'll take her out for ice cream and a movie this weekend!"

After we finished eating, I drove them all home. On the way back to my house, I couldn't stop thinking about this date. I'll call her tonight.
