Chapter 13

~Nikki's Pov~

I woke up at 5:00 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. I got out of bed and walked downstairs and got a glass of water then walked to the couch. I turned on some cartoons to watch but my mind kept wondering. I couldn't stop thinking about Ashton.

I felt so bad about not inviting him to go out for pizza with me and the boys. I want him to come, but I think they really want me to become great friends with them. I'm really excited, though. They're so funny and so fun to be with.

I snap out of my thoughts and see it's 5:25. I can't believe I thought about all that for twenty minutes. I keep on watching Spongebob until 5:45 then I decide to get ready for school. I take a quick shower and hop out. I think I'm going to straighten my wavy hair today. I never really do anything special with it but I think it's time I did.

I turn on my straightener and then walk to my room to pick out what I'm going to wear. I decide on my capris, a tank top with little palm trees on it, and just some simple white flip flops. I go back into the bathroom and grab the straightener.

I make sure I got every strand then I turn it off. I put on just some simple mascara and black eyeliner. I actually look really nice today.

I walk downstairs and start making a smoothie. I decided to try eating healthier foods and drinks since I don't eat the best food.

I throw strawberries, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, and some kiwi in the blender. I add some yogurt then I press the start button and hold it. When it's done murdering my fruit, I let go of the button.

I take my smoothie and walk over to the kitchen table and sit down. My phone buzzes next to me and see that Rebecca is calling.

I answer and say, "What's up my brotha?

"Hey girl! Do you want to hang out after school today?" Oh crap.

"Sorry, Bec. I'm going out to eat with Ashton's friends," I just had the best idea. "Hey, Bec?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to come? The guys can meet you! Then you can come with us to Ashton's after that!"

"Oh, I guess."

"Great! I mean about you going, not the Jason thing."

"Yeah, yeah. I know. So I'll see you at school."

"Okay! Bye."

"Bye."

After I ended the call, I walked over to the sink with my cup. I rinsed it out and then put it in the dishwasher. I checked the time and it was 7:15. I need to leave soon.

I heard my mom running down the stairs. She came into the kitchen.

"Hey, honey. I'm in a hurry right now so get everything you need and get in the car as fast as you can please." I nod and run upstairs to get my backpack from my room.

After I get in the car, I text Luke, Calum, and Michael saying Rebecca is coming along. Luke texts back immediately.

As long as she's hot, it's ok with me:P

I roll my eyes. I get a text from Michael next.

Sweet! Can't wait to meet her!:)

Then one from Calum.

From: Calum Hood

Haha good! I do need a girlfriend ya know;)

I shake my head and put my phone in the front pocket of my backpack. My mom comes out of the house and jumps in the car. She turns the key and starts pulling out of the drive very fast. I have no idea why she's in such a hurry today.

I walk to my locker and put my backpack in it. I grab my notebook and pencil for art. I feel two strong arms hugging me from behind. I turn around and see Ashton. I smile at him and connect our lips. I pull away and look at him.

He looks so handsome today. He's wearing a cut off t-shirt that shows off his very muscular arms, dark blue skinny jeans and white vans. He had a dark blue bandana in his fluffy hair.

"Liking what you see?" I must have been staring a bit too long.

"Uh....." I could feel my cheeks heating up. He chuckled.

I closed my locker and he put his arm around me. We started walking down the hallway and then he asked, "So, are all of you still coming over after pizza?"

I nod and say, "Yeah, but I'm bringing Rebecca, my best friend. I want her to meet you without running into you."

He laughed. "Well, I'll see you at science, babe."

I smiled at how he called me "babe". I love it when he does that. He pecked my lips and walked into his classroom. I kept walking to my art class.

I walk in and sit down at my usual spot. A girl I have never seen before sits down next to me. She smiles at me and I smile back.

After class is over, I walk back to my locker and get everything I need for my next class. After I got it all, I start walking towards my class.

I just want the end of the day to cone so I can relax with my friends. I'm already sick if school and it's only been a week. This is going to be a long school year.
