Chapter 15

~Ashton's Pov~

It's October 1st. The first month of school is finally done. I'm just looking forward to graduation.

I'm in English right now and I can't stop thinking about Nikki. I think about her a lot now. We've been dating for only three weeks, but it feels like forever. We can tell anything to each other. We're like one person.

My English teacher, Mr. Dahlman, notices that I'm not paying any attention and walks over to my desk. Oh God. This won't end well.

"Mr. Irwin. Am I interupting your daydreaming?" I look up at him and gulp. 

"Um...no sir. I mean....um....I'll stop....daydreaming."

He nods and walks back to the front of the room. He starts talking about more random shit that I don't understand. English is my least favorite subject next to science. 

The rest of class goes by very slowly. When the bell rings, I grab all of my stuff quickly and run out of the room. I put everything in my locker and then close it. I see Michael standing in front of his locker so I walk over.

"Hey, dude," I say.

"Hey. Let's go to lunch." 

We were walking to lunch and as we pass the sophomore hallway, I see Luke and Nikki talking. I wonder why Luke is talking with her? I need to know so I walk over to them and put my arm around Nikki.

She looks up and me and smiles, "Hi. Ash."

"Hey, babe. What were you two talking about?"

"Nothing, really," Luke answers. I guess I'll never really know. 

I nod and ask, "Shall we walk to lunch together then?" 

They all nod and we start walking, my arm still around Nikki. We walk into the cafeteria, get our lunch and sit down at a table. Calum walks in and spots us. He walks over and sits down as well. 

"Oh! You guys will finally get to meet Rebecca! You'll love her." I smile at her enthusiasm. Of course, right after that, Rebecca walks over to our table and sits on the other side of Nikki and next to Calum. He's basically drooling over her right now. She pretty, but nothing compared to Nik.

"Everyone, this is Rebecca. Rebecca, this is Ashton, Calum, Luke, and Michael," Nikki introduced us. 

"Hi guys. Nice to meet all of you," Rebecca kindly said to all of us. Michael and Calum looked like they were in love with her. They wouldn't take their eyes off of her. 

Nikki turned to me and kissed me on the cheek. I love it when she gives me random kisses. I peck her on the lips and put my arm around her. She put her head on my shoulder and we watched the boys talk to Rebecca.

~Nikki Pov~

"I'm fucking freaking out Rebecca!" Rebecca is over and I'm telling her about what happened today.

Becca tried to calm me down, "Wow. Calm down Nikki. What happened?"

I took a deep breath and said, "Well, the other day Luke was really bored and called me up. He wanted me to come over to his house so I did. When I got there we started talking about random things and then he did something I never thought he would do. He kissed me, but of course I broke it right away. I ran out of his house and walked back to my house. I felt horrible and now I'm so happy I told someone. It was killing me."

She looked so suprised. "So that's why he's been at your locker a lot lately. I think you should tell Ashton. It's not fair to him."

I shook my head quickly. "You don't understand. Ashton and I just started dating not even a month ago. It would crush him. He would never trust me again."

"You don't know that yet. Tell you what. I'll go home and you can call him up and tell him to get his ass over here. You need to tell him TODAY. No exceptions."

I sighed. She's right. It's not even my fault, really. It was Luke who kissed me. 

"You know what? I think I will. Thanks Becca. You're the best." I walked over to her and gave her a hug. After that, she left. 

I called up Ashton and he picked up right away. 

"Hey, babe. What's up?"

"Can you come over right now?"

"Yeah, of course. Is anything wrong?"

"Just try to get over here as fast as you can please." And then I hung up. 

The doorbell rang and I ran downstairs to answer it. My parents aren't even home yet. 

I opened the door and Ashton walked in and hugged me. I hugged back. 

"Are you okay, babe?" He asked me while we were sitting on the couch in the living room. 

I shrugged and started to tell him, "Ash, don't get mad at me, but the other day, I was over at Luke's and he kissed me. I swear I pulled away right away. I left right after."

He didn't look mad at all. He just looked sad. He nodded and said, "I believe you. Luke can be a dickhead sometimes."

"Don't, like, beat him up or anything. He just likes me. I won't let him pull another move on me again. I promise. Just, please don't hate me."

"I promise. And I also promise that I will never hate you, but will always love you, no matter what you do."

Did he just say he loved me? Do I love him? I do. I defenitely do.

"I will always love you too." He smiled with his dimples showing. He put his arm around me and I buried my head into his chest. 

He put his lips on my head and kissed it. "I will love you forever, I promise," he said. "Forever."
