Chapter 14

~Ashton's Pov~

Science. My favorite class. I mean, I don't like the science part. I like the Nikki part. It's the only class I have with her all day. I don't even have lunch with her.

I walk out of calculus and to my locker. I open it up and take out my textbook and notebook. I close my locker and head towards science, but not without seeing Nikki. She's by her locker and Luke is talking to her. And he's awfully close to her. Way too close.

I just ignore it and keep walking. I reach the classroom and sit down. Calum and Michael run over to me.

"Hey! We all coming over after pizza tonight?" Calum asks.

"Totally. But of course, not without bringing me any pizza." I said and then popped out my bottom lip.

Michael shakes his head and says, "Um, no thank you. I'd rather have you starve."

I flip him off and then I feel to little hands cover my eyes. I already know they're Nikki's since they smell like cinnamon. She always smells like cinnamon. Everyone has their own fragrance and that's hers.

"Guess who?" She says in a deep voice.

I smile. "Would it be my beautiful girlfriend?"

She giggles and removes her hands. I turn around and look at her. She smiles and kisses me. The kiss lasts about thirty seconds.

"Ew. Get a room." Cal says. I roll my eyes and pull away from the kiss. Nikki sits down next to me and I put my arm around her.

Mr. Thomas tells everyone to take a seat so the boys walk to their desks. I look at Nikki and smile. She smiles back and I kiss her on the cheek. She has such a beautiful smile. It lights up the whole room.

Mr. Thomas is talking about something I don't get at all. All I hear is gibberish. I think Nikki feels the same because she looks like she's falling asleep.

Her eyes look like they are getting heavy, but then she quickly opens them. Then they start to get heavy again and this time she's actually falling asleep.

I poke her cheek and her eyes pop open. She looks at me with wide eyes and I laugh quietly.

"You were falling asleep." I whisper to her. She smiles and rolls her eyes. I grab her soft, tiny hand and hold it for the rest of class.

When the bell rings, she jumps up right away, letting go of my hand. She starts to jump around and shakes her arms. I give her a confused look and see the boys are giving her the same. She laughs.

"My arms and legs were asleep! Don't judge me!" I chuckle and stand up. I walk over to her and hug her from behind. "I have to leave soon with the boys."

I lean in and whisper in her ear, "I'll miss you." She doesn't reply right away.

"I...I'll see you after pizza." She turns around and kisses me. Then her and the boys walk out of the classroom, leaving me alone.

~Nikki's Pov~

We walk out to the car and get inside; me in the back next to Luke. I feel horrible about just leaving Ashton in there. I don't know what happened.

Luke turns and looks at me. He smiles and I do the same. He has dimples too. What's up with all of these Australian boys having dimples?

Luke asks, "Where's Rebecca? I thought she was coming with us?"

"She was really stressed out from today so she decided to just go home." He nodded.

California Gurls came on the radio and Calum cranked it. Him and Michael started to dance and sing along which made me giggle. Luke starts to sing and notices that I'm not.
