I've been in my room trying to figure out what I should wear. I mean, it's just dinner so I shouldn't be so nervous but I am. I swear no guy has this problem. Guys can wear track pants and a baggy jumper and still look so good. Whereas girls can easily look out of place in a crowd from what they are wearing.

"What's the matter?" Janice asks as she walks in, sitting on my bed.

Turning around, I sigh and place the piece of clothing I am currently holding, down on my bed.

"Xavier wants me to come over to his place for dinner. I don't know what to wear" She grins then gives me a confused face.

"Who's Xavier?" I blush slightly.

"Mr Price" My voice soft and cautious.

"Oh my gosh! Seriously?! You guys would be so cute together!" I laugh and shake my head.

"We're just friends. This is just a dinner between friends" She smirks.

"Mhmm, sure it is" I roll my eyes at her sarcasm.

"So, will you help me?" She smiles and nods.

"Sure"

After about half an hour, I'm dressed in dark blue skinny jeans, a black V neck long sleeved top that both 'shows off my breasts and clings to my body' as Janice likes to say. I have to admit I don't look half bad. Just I finish doing a little make up and straightening my hair, the door rings. That must be Xavier.

I walk down the stairs to see dad and mum talking to him. They're probably confused as to why he's over. He hasn't seen me yet so I take the time to look him over. Faded blue jeans, brown shoes with the shoelaces undone and a nice white V neck short sleeve with his leather jacket on top. I'm guessing he brought his motorbike since he has his helmet under his arm and the leather gloves still on.

"Hey Piper" I smile as he looks at me with his beautiful brown eyes.

"Hey Xavier" Mum and dad are staring between the two of us with excited smiles.

"You two going on a date?" I blush as dad asks.

"No" Xavier and I say simultaneously.

"Just friends dad" Dad sighs.

"For now you're 'just friends' let's see how long it'll take till you both realise-" Mum cuts dad off by covering his mouth with her hand. I'm curious to know what dad was going to say.

"Have a nice night guys" Mum says smiling. Shrugging it off, Xavier and I walk out the door together.

"Do you have a jacket?" He asks as we stand next to his beautiful Ducati bike.

"Yeah, I'm good. This bike is beautiful" He smiles at my words.

"Do you have a bike licence?" I look up at him and nod.

"I got it as soon as I could" Smiling he hands over the gloves and gestures for me to drive it tonight.

"You for real?" I ask eagerly. Chuckling, he nods.

"I trust you enough" smiling I hop onto the bike and lace the gloves and helmet on, first tying my hair into a low pony tail.

By the time we got to his house I was so elated at the fact I got to ride one of those again.

"You're not half bad" Xavier teases.

"Shush it grandpa. Not my fault I like speed that you can't handle" I grin and wink at him.

Chuckling, he shakes his head and leads me up to the front door. His house is pretty huge.

"Before we go in... I need to tell you something" I nod for him to continue.

"Despite the big house and other things you'll find throughout my house. I'm not rich, my parents are. They supplied all of this for me. They did the same for my little brother" I smile and caress his cheek in an attempt to calm him down.

"Xavier. I know who your parents are. They are politicians. They came for a presentation at my uni. They speak highly of you and your brother" I admit.

"Really?" I smile and nod. His cute puppy eyes, the unsure little boy coming out in him.

"Now come on, let's get out of this nippy air" I say changing the subject. Smiling he walks me out of the cold and into his amazingly decorated house. Everything beautiful and antic.

"Took you long enough to pick her up!" I hear a lady yell from the kitchen. Xavier looks at me with a slight blush.

"That's Sally. When I grew up my parents weren't around much. Sally looked after me" I smile. Soon, a lady in her fifty's appears to greet us.

"Hello Piper, I'm Sally" I smile and shake her hand.

"It's nice to meet you Sally" I say politely.

"It's nice to finally put a face to a name. Xavier never shuts up about you" I laugh as Xavier groans and whines.

"He even tried cooking for you. The boy hasn't cooked a meal in his life and he wants to try now?" I laugh as Xavier's face reddens even more.

"Let's go to the dining room" Sally and I follow behind him.

I take the time to look around as we pass different rooms. Walking into the dining room I see beautiful meals set out on the table, pasta, garlic bread, garden salad, potato salad, baked potato. Xavier gestures for me to sit next to him, so I walk over to him. I watch as Sally goes back into the kitchen with a plate of food.

"Why is she eating in the kitchen?" I ask. He smiles and shakes his head.

"She's got it in her head that when I have company, I want her out of the way. Which isn't true. I love Sally" I smile and grab a plate of food.

"Well if she won't come to us, we'll go to her" Xavier looks up at me and smiles.

"You're amazing. You know that?" I blush and laugh his compliment off.

"Come on, get some food. We'll ear with her" I say. He grabs some food and we walk together into the kitchen.

"Is there something wrong with the food?" Sally asks us as she sees us.

"No, we just wanted to join you" I say smiling, I take a seat next to her and Xavier does the same. She smiles at me softly and looks at Xavier. Seems like their having their own silent conversation.

"You're an amazing cook Sally" I say smiling as I get ready to leave.

"Thank you. You should come by more often" I smile and nod.

Xavier grabs his keys to his car this time and let's me in first. Once in the car he turns to me.

"This was fun. If you're not doing anything on the weekend, would you like to go to the movies? I mean I have a soccer game on Saturday so we'd have to go on Sunday" I smile and squeeze his hand in an attempt to stop him from rambling.

"How about I watch you play soccer? Then we can go to the movies afterward" He chuckles.

"Sounds good" I smile and nod.

"Have you thought about the offer?" He smiles and nods.

"I think it'll be good. Wherever I go, Sally goes. So I know I'll always have my Sally" I smile and nod.

"So you'll be moving near me?" I ask, I will admit I'm happy to hear it.

"Yes, I will. I'll find a nice apartment and fly up with you when you leave" I smile happily at his words.

Soon enough I'm at my front door. Saying goodnight to Xavier.

"This was fun. Don't forget about soccer on Saturday" I laugh.

"How could I forget?" I ask with a smirk.

"See you Piper" Xavier leans in and gives me a quick hug before walking back to his car.

I can't control the beating of my heart. It's scary how he's starting to take an affect on me. He's my former teacher, and I'm finding myself liking him more than just a friend. An escalation of feelings. I shake my head and lay down on my bed. Maybe if I get some sleep I'll be able to think clearly again.
