The yellow school bus pulled up along the side of a condo, and two kids around the age of twelve jumped out. One with bronze skin, and the other with jet black hair.

"Dude I can't believe Sebastian let you come over." Laughed Sherman who was practically overjoyed.

"Who's Sebastian?" Asked August who bolted to the door of Sherman's home, waiting by the doorstep where Sherman fished into his backpack for the gold key.

"My mom's boyfriend." He lied. It was the best lie he came up with and deep down he wished it wasn't. To be honest, ever since he could remember, Sebastian was in his memories, someway or another. You weren't supposed to remember early years since your brain couldn't develop memories so soon, yet he could remotely recall a jar of applesauce. He still had the huge teddy bear from the mafia leader which really didn't make Sebastian seem so scary, but it meant something.

Although the teddy bear was almost ripped to shreds by Hunter's dog, he still gazed at it longingly every day, hoping maybe the closest thing to a father would maybe give one to his mother. However, his mom didn't really show as much affection towards Seb as he did towards her, but she was growing into him a bit. Especially this year, which had been a pretty obvious change.

"Do you like him?"

"A lot, he's like the dad I never had." He admitted, giving August a kind smile and unlocked he door with a click. He ran upstairs to his room with his best friend trailing by his side.

The room was actually neatly organized, he hated being messy and it was in his nature to always want control of what he had. Sherman Yang glanced at August who's expression seemed to be amused by how immaculate it was.

"Do you usually clean your room?" Asked August.

"I never clean it, I just don't get it messy." He replied.

"How do you do that?"

"I just hate not knowing where my things are." He opened the top drawer of his dresser and pulled out a few hard candies. "Want one?"

"Sure."

They went down to the living room and he passed August a remote control to the video game. He clicked on the TV and started playing a war game. Immediately, they won the game and August tilted his head impressively.

"How do you do that so well?"

"I'm just play a lot with Hunter and Sebastian."

"Hunter?"

"Seb's best friend."

"Really, looks like you have raw talent."

He nodded. Obviously Sherman was clueless that his war god parentage was the real reason he was so good at video games.
