I wait on the bench on the far corner of the room for training.

Since I could not stay still, I decide to stretch my muscles.

I rethink of what I overheard last night. Can it really be Apophis's son?

I thought Apophis died before he could do anything. But he is a god...

I hear footsteps and stand up, facing Malcolm. He looks at me blankly and takes a few steps back.

My mother sits on the bench, observing. "Your opponent will try to kill you in multiple ways, mostly by your throat or abdomen. They will use magic or physical but you..."he said, frowning.

"Lets begin."he said. He positioned himself. "This will be in easy settings, as your mother said. Fight me with everything you know. Don't hold back."he said.

I positioned myself and we began circling around each other. I striked first and blocked his attack. His arm wrapped around my stomach and he dropped me onto the floor.

I bit my lip to not scream out in pain. I lifted my elbow and pushed it hard against the back of his neck.

He fell down next to me and I rolled away from him and sat up. I smirked as he rubbed his neck.

I stood and so did he, so I ran to him and he tried to punch me. I kicked his hand. He tried to grab my leg but I twisted away onto his back.

I wrapped my legs around his neck and used all my strength to lift him up. He groaned in agony as I unwrapped my legs from his neck.

My mother clapped. "Malcolm, were you even trying?"my mother said in dibelief. I turned to Malcolm.

"Lets go on hard mode. Shall we?"I said. He looked at me pained that we had to go any further in my training.

"I'll teach you techniques first."He said. "Lets begin."he said.

I walked around him. He ran to me and grabbed my throat on either side, figuratively trying to rip it off.

"Find a way to stop me from tearing your head off. There are multiple ways to stop me, many ways to get you killed anyway."he said.

His grip on my neck tightned. I (figuratively) broke his arm and held him captive. I used my knee to kick him in the back and used his arms to hold him straight.

He tried to hit me with his head but I released him and punched him across the face. He fell and cupped his chin.

I walked to him and punched him too quickly to be seen, too graceful to be caught.

He stumbled backwards and finally fell. My mother clapped. "He really is worn out. Can you take him to his room while I get the medicine?"She said and without an answer, she ran off.

I sighed and hoisted him up by the shoulders. "Sorry. Are you okay?"I asked.

He looked at me exasperated. "Do I look okay? I just got my ass beat by a 17 year old."He said grumpily.

I smiled a little and led him to the door. "Wait, where is your room?"I asked. He straightened up and tried to limp ahead.

"I got it-"he said, but before he could fall I grabbed him. "God, your heavy-whoa!"I said. He fell on me and my back hit the carpet floor.

I bit my lip again to keep from crying out. "Can you get off?"I asked. He tried to but he was in pain.

I took deep breaths and tried to push him off. Fortunately, he came off. I helped him up again and he told me where his room was.
