My clothes that were once grey turned to a silky white, the frabic morphing into a dress embedded with silver jewels.
My mother watched the transformation boredly and Malcolm took a large gulp of air when it finished. He seemed to be holding his breath.
I tried to rip off the fabric. My mother grabbed my hands. "What are you doing? Your father gave this to you!"she said.
I laughed a humorless laugh. "That motherfuc- um..."I said, not wanting to insult my mother.
She gave me a exsperated look. "He isn't the man you think he is, Chike,"she said.
I felt a light weight on top of my head. I touched it and the could texture of a crown was resting on me.
In an instant, it all disappeared quickly. I sighed and sat down at the table next to Malcolm.
I sighed again. I did it reptitively so my mom could know I wanted answers.
"Okay fine! What do you want?!"she asked. I smiled.
"A lot of things, you see, but to be specific,"I said quickly seeing my mothers unbelieving face and Malcolm unreasonably blushing ones,"I just want to know why"my dad finally wants to bother with me."I said.
She pondered. "He has finally been released from his cage, but someone else sneaked out along with him."She said.
I rolled my head to one side. I already knew the answer. "Yes, Apophis's son. He wants a few things as well,"She said.
I frowned. "What?"I asked. I watched in pain as she let slip tears. "You..."she said.
Malcolm clenched his fists. "WHAT?! You didn't say anything about that!"he said angrily.
"He wants her. He will take her dead or alive for revenge. She has to chose to die,"she looked at me and sniffed,"or marry him. Dead for vengence of his father or alive for revenge against Ra,"she said.
I jumped up from the table and the atmosphere in the room turned darker than the sunny day outside could bring.
My eyes had a tingling sensation behind it and I saw in a silver spoon that it had flames.
I calmed myself down and walked out of the kitchen. Before I left, I muttered, "I'd rather die. But if I had another choice to protect humanity I would gladly take it. Even if I do have to marry him."
My voice cracked and I myself cried. I ran to my room and slammed the door behind me.
I slid on the door and wrapped arms around my knees. The door was pushed lightly and clicked closed again.
Someone knocked and I shoke my head. "Go away..."I said. The door was pushed open forcefully and I gave in.
I stood up and opened the door wider. I wiped the tears off my cheeks before they had a chance to dry.
Malcolm stood in the door way. "Knock knock?"he asked. I rolled my eyes.
He sighed and grabbed my wrists. He sat down on the bed next to me and pulled my chin up to look him in the eyes.
"We will find a way out of this, okay?"he asked. I snatched his hand away. "What if we don't?!"I yelled.
He hugged me and I cried on his shoulder. "We will."he said. He kissed my forehead and kissed my cheek.
I clutched him tighter. "I'm sorry,"I said. He looked down at me. "What for?"he asked.
I put my head on his chest and leaned against the bed poster. "For treating your feelings toward me badly. I wonder how you like me anyway,"I said.
He shoke his head. He rubbed his nose against mines. "Who wouldn't?"he asked. "You are the most beautiful,"he kissed my forehead,"smart,"he kissed my cheek,"and strong woman that your age can handle,"he said.
He crashed his lips against mines and I felt safe around his warm, protective and strong arms.
He kissed me longly and passionately. His tongue touched my lower lip lightly. I was scared and anxious to make this move, so I pushed him away.
"I'm sorry,"I said breathlessly. "Its okay,"he said.
He was in doubt, so I ignored my feelings of fright and kissed him.
His arms wrapped around my waist, pushing me closer to his chest. His tongue touched mines lightly and the sweet flavor of marmalade settled into my mouth.
He fell on the bed with me and pulled away for air. He kissed my neck and trailed down to my collarbone.
I kissed him again and his hands traveled from my shoulders, my back, and touched my waist longingly.
I had an instinct to not let him go that far. I pulled away. "That's the limit! I'm sorry, but did you forget how old I am? And we are not engaged?"I asked.
He scratched his neck. "Oh yeah...sorry,"he said. He kissed me one last time and pulled me to my feet.
"We have to go interrogate something,"I said. He led me to the door and the basement.

The Ligrian sure did make himself at home. He trashed around everything within reach in his cell and made the room smell like...burnt rubber.I pinched my nose. As soon as the creature heard our footsteps, He thrashed around widly. He growled but as I neared him he began to whimper.
Probably remembering yesterday.
His appearance has changed. A little bit. His covered mouth was torn away bloodily to reveal sharp and dripping wet teeth.
I frowned. "Where did your mask go, invader?"I asked.
He suprisingly answered in a deep and cringy voice, as if snails were being rubbed against sandpaper.
"I send you a message from Aphraim, the son of Apophis himself!"he said. I widened my eyes and darted to him.
I throttled him. "Stop lying you vile being!"I hissed. He laughed and choked at the same time, and flecks of spit hit my face.
"I tel-l y-you no l-lies. Do you want to hear the message?"He said, rubbing his neck as I let him go.
I nodded. "Make it quick and your death will be quick as well,"I said.
"I will give you the exact words he has said. 'On the eve of March 20th, my army will arrive in Death valley. I will be awaiting your decision. Until then, long live Isfet!' Am I to be killed now?"He asked.
I cracked my knuckles. "No need to say it twice,"I said. I created a jet of fire and it blasted to his chest. He laughed manicaly and then perished.
After I finished I was trembling. Malcolm noticed and hugged me. "What's wrong?"he asked softly.
I sniffed. "The date...of his arrival...is on my birthday. My eighteenth birthday..."I said. I shuddered.
"This is too much of a coincidence,"Malcolm said. I nodded shakily.
"Yeah...just a coincidence..."I said. He sighed through his nose. He led us through the made of corridors and then gripped my arms. He stared into my eyes seriously.
"I need to contact the Elders. You go eat something. I'll be back quickly. Okay?"he said. I nodded and he planted a kiss on my cheek.
He nearly jogged away and I walked to the kitchen, my stomach growling loudly. "Shut up,"I said, suddenly irritated.
As soon as I ate, my stomach calmed down. I felt stronger and my vision was clearer, my senses seemed to heighten and I felt...better.
I put my head in my hands. Why me?
Suddenly, a glowing green light appeared in the living room and multiple voices were heard.
Malcolm was one of them. "That was quick,"he muttered. I smiled and chuckled. It got silent in the other room.
"May we see her?"a feminine voice asked. Footsteps came to the kitchen and I stood, ready and waiting.
