Osiris towered over me in a large form, anger turning his blue skin darker, almost black. "What?!!" He bellowed. I staggered back slightly from the anger forming from the two gods before me. Anubis was glaring at me, though it wasn't me who he was angry at. I was the spitting image of my father, with a few of my mothers features. He looked away, remembering I was not my father and composing his neutral expression.

"Look, we have to, I have to-" I began desperately but he cut me off by walking away and the wave of his hand. "And your father Ra approved of this?!" He asked in disbelief and I nodded. "And your mother?!!" he asked, disgusted. I nodded again and he changed from different shades of blue, almost mimicking his uncontrollable moods.

He was shaking slightly and a ghost woman walked out of a room, walking towards him slowly and cradling his face. "Calm down, love. This must be." She said to him and gazed at me. "You are brave to agree with your father on this matter. I know that it can be frightening, but the world is now in your hands." She said softly.

"Osiris has the heart made of warmth and care. He already is treating you like a daughter and his own is the sister of the pharaoh of Egypt!" she said with a cheery and dreamy smile.

I nodded to her, returning her a smile as well. "Thank you." I said and Thoth glanced at me in worry before balling his fists, hardening his jaw in  his agreement with Osiris and Anubis. "His spirit may be found where his father once was, but more protected. When Apophis shadow was taken, it was...not as protected as Aphraims is now. Good luck, Chike." Osiris said with sadness and gritted teeth.

I sighed heavily and walked away when Anubis stopped us and handed Thoth a parchment that looked centuries, if not eons old. "For the spell. Good luck, old friend. And you, my new one." He said, giving us a warm smile. I smiled back at him in thanks and walked out of the throne room, turning to glance at the ghost woman.

She lightly placed a kiss on Osiris's cheek and they smiled warmly at each other. They looked like a happy couple. Smiling darkly to myself, I realize that could never be of me anymore. The corners of my lips pulled up a little more, then I boarded the ship slowly. Bast was being comforted by Neith in a corner and hissed when I approached her. "You smell of dog." She hissed again, standing to glare at something behind me.

"How many times do I have to tell you I am not a dog?" asked Anubis next to me, causing me to jump. I glared at him and he chuckled. "Sorry, Osiris just wants me to help you along your mission." He said and I tilted my head, nodding and walking away to take a shower.

"Where are you going, Chike? We have to arrange the meeting for your...marriage with Aprhaim." Thoth said bitterly.

Sarcastically, I laughed though my voice was shaky. "How would we be able to get Aphraims shadow if I'm getting wedded by the same person whose shadow we are trying to capture?" I asked, staring at them. Anubis scratched his hair and Thoth looked away. Neith coughed and Bast clawed at the table.

"I'm supposed to do this alone while you guys get the shadow?"I asked quietly. They nodded. "We need to do this, it would be far too unbearable for you where his shadow is. It is the place where the endless ocean of Isfet lives." Bast said after it was a moment of silence and shuddered. I raised an eyebrow.

"Your all doubting me?" I asked quietly, balling my fists and taking deep breaths to control my anger. They shook their heads and I scoffed, walking away quickly to calm down from their disapproving statements. I sat on my bed and stared ahead of me, allowing my head to blank.

Someone knocked on my door and I ignored it, walking to the high tech near my desk and chair. "Chike." Someone muffled behind the door. I placed picked up an MP3 player and a pair of headphones, sitting on the bed and scanning for already downloaded songs to listen to. "Chike!" the person banged again. "Giver her some space." Probably Neith or Bast said. I quieted as I heard footsteps walk away.
