I run to my mom and jump to the creature. I kick him and he drops my mother. She falls and cups her throat.
"Go get Malcolm!"I screamed at her. She nodded weakly and sprinted away. I faced the creature.
He had red eyes, a muscular body, horns and no mouth. I widened my eyes but slowly shoke my head.
He pulled out a ragged khopesh. I pulled out mine from the duat and it flamed with fire.
He raised a eyebrow, and then his face came together like he was smiling. "What are you, Slenderman?"I asked.
He frowned and growled. Perfect. "I mean, you have no mouth like him. Your purely ugly...it Would be a perfect comparison,"I said.
He growled menacingly. "What, can't speak? Cat got your tongue?"I asked. I pulled on my to show him what I meant.
He had a look of hatred. He ran to me at an impossible speed but did not falter me.
I grabbed his robes as he darted past at an impossible speed as well. He made a noise in shock and anger.
I smiled straight into his face and kicked his stomach. He flew across the room. Now I got serious and decided to stop playing with him.
I grabbed the collar of his robes. "Who are you?!"I screamed. I punched him across the face when he did not answer. My fist were erupting in flames.
"Who sent you here?!"I screamed. I punched him multiple times. I heard footsteps behind me but I didn't stop punching him.
He was past unconcious when Malcolm pulled me away. "Calm down, or your temper will cause you to burn down a house again,"he whispered in my ear.
I stood up and wiped off my knuckles. I looked around to see my mother trembling. "Are you okay?"I asked quietly, clasping her hands.
She nodded shakily. I turn back around to see Malcolm examining the invaders body.
"A Ligrian in this realm...unaccetable and truly dangerous,"he muttered to himself. I walked to him slowly.
"A Ligrian? What is that?"I asked, moving my head to the creature. "I am surprised this one is so easily dispatched. A Ligrian is a half demon and half muttant."He said.
I frowned, clearly not getting what he is saying. "English, please?"I asked. He dumbed it down for me, thankfully.
"It is a demon that turned out to be born wrong but more powerful than most,"He said. I nodded.
My mother just stood there, shaking and pale. I became serious to everything then.
"We have to do something to it. Tie it up, make sure it dosent get lose and hurt someone. Thats what we need to do,"I said.
Malcolm looked surprised and then quickly understood. He picked up the Ligrian by its shoulders and I helped him haul it away.
We lead him to a dark room that has no windows, and would have been a prison cell if it weren't for a tv screen that looked limited.
We threw him on the small bed and locked the door. Malcolm put a series of spells around the room to keep him secured and trapped.
I stared through the bars in the door angrily at the creature. "We'll interrogate it tommorow. Okay?"he said, pulling me away from the door.
I nodded hesitantly and walked away quickly. "Hold up,"he said. I shoke my head and power walked away.
He grabbed my arm. "Chill...calm down. Breath in and out..."he said slowly. I glared at him and did as he told.
"Good...come on,"he said. He took my hand and led me away. I froze at his warm touch and walked robotically.
He released my hand as soon as we were out of the maze of halls and doors.
My hand was covered in goosebumps as soon as he released it. I rubbed it together and it warmed quickly.
My mother sat on the couch in the living room. She sat too still...
"Mom!?"I half yelled, running to her. Her head snapped up. "What's wrong?"she asked.
I relaxed and sat opposite of her. "You just scared me..."I said. She frowned and smiled sadly.
Malcolm crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "We have to keep any more demons and monsters from coming here. This is the last headquarters of ma'at so we should keep it safe and well built,"he said.
I nodded. My mother looked on the verge of tears and kept going into shock. "Mom, just go lie down for a while. Its gonna be okay,"I said. I helped her up and took her to get room.
I kissed her forehead and noticed that I've grown twelve inches taller than her. "Good ight, mom,"I said. I turned the light off in her room and went back to the living room.
Malcolm stood there quietly and bit his lip. "Well...I'll go practice training or something..."I said. I walked away and jolted as he grabbed my arm.
He shoke his head and let me go. I stared at him questioningly and shoke my head as well.
He followed me to the training area and I grabbed my khopesh out of the duat.
We circled around each other as if on cue, and began to fight quietly and skillfully.
I tripped a couple of times, and the last I crashed on top of Malcolm. I groaned. "Sorry, Mac,"I said. He raised an eyebrow and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
"On nickname terms now, are we?"he asked quietly. My eyes widened and I felt a blush creep up my neck to my cheeks as I realized what position we were in.
My legs were wrapped arou his uncomfortably and he had a hand on my waist.
I stared into his eyes and came into a trance at it's loveliness. His silver eyes seemed to darken and the colors moved around playfully.
I didn't realize our heads were coming close together until I breathed in his slow breathing that smelt of soap and mints.
I pulled away and he gave me a quick questioning look. I walked away and locked myself into my room.
I don't know if I can handle a relationship with anyone now, but I won't try to give up yet.
Yet.
