Glass everywhere. A window was broken, dripping with blood, most likely from someone trying to break it with their hand.
But the thing that stuck out the most was Blaine's body on the cold wooden ground, almost lifeless.
Immediately, Kurt called an ambulance to Blaine's house, and also the police to see investigate what caused it. 10 minutes later, 2 paramedics burst in with a stretcher and placed Blaine's body onto it.
At this point, Kurt was sobbing wildly. He didn't even know why he was sobbing, because it should have meant nothing to him. However, in a matter of seconds, Kurt's mood went from sadness to extreme anger. Who would try to hurt Blaine? He'd already been through enough. Maybe it was one of the people who made fun of him? But that wouldn't make it any easier, considering all of Dalton and half of Mckinley made fun of him.
Deep down though,
Kurt felt guilty.
After last night, Kurt hadn't even attempted to contact Blaine. Maybe if he had just called him to ask if he had gotten home alright, then this entire thing could have been avoided.
Before he got too depressed, Kurt called his dad to let him know he wasn't going to make it school because of what had happened, and then raced to the hospital.
His feet felt like they were swelling as he ran into the hospital office. A miserable old lady sat at the desk, barely even establishing Kurt's existence.
Soon, Kurt spoke up. "Excuse me miss, what room is Blaine Anderson in?" he asked pleadingly. "Room 296. He's not awake yet though." Kurt barely even heard the last part of the women's sentence. He was already speeding around the hospital.
Kurt already knew his way around, thanks to the amount of times Karofsky sent him there in his Freshmen year. He easily found the room, and knocked on the door with his knuckles before letting himself in without any warning.
Kurt felt like he was going to cry again.
Blaine was lying there, all colour drained from his face. He'd never seen Blaine this pale. Even after him talking about his bullying and feeling like he was gonna throw up.
Also, by the looks of it, no one had come to visit him. No cheesey 'get well soon' cards were insight. Then, Kurt started crying.
As he went to hold his hand, a nurse barged into the room without warning.
"Hello sir, I'm Nurse Diaz and i'll be taking care of Blaine. The damage is 2 broken ribs and a fractured ankle. He was bleeding in the head but we managed to patch it up immediately. The rest are just minor wounds. However, he is in a coma-like state. He can hear everything you say, he just can't move or respond. He will be like this for approximately 1 to 2 weeks. Good day. " She practically shouted, before quickly before pacing down the corridor.
Blaine could hear him? Before Kurt could even think about what he was doing, he grabbed Blaine's hand and started sung the first song that came to mind.
If all our life is but a dream
Fantastic posing greed
Then we should feed our jewelery to the sea
For diamonds do appear to be
Just like broken glass to meAnd then she said she can't believe
Genius only comes along
In storms of fabled foreign tongues
Tripping eyes, and flooded lungs
Northern downpour sends its loveHey moon, please forget to fall down
Hey moon, don't you go downSugarcane in the easy mornin'
Weather-vanes my one and lonelyThe ink is running toward the page
It's chasin' off the days
Look back at both feet
And that winding knee
I missed your skin when you were east
You clicked your heels and wished for meThrough playful lips made of yarn
That fragile Capricorn
Unraveled words like moths upon old scarves
I know the world's a broken bone
But melt your headaches, call it homeHey moon, please forget to fall down
Hey moon, don't you go downSugarcane in the easy mornin'
Weather-vanes my one and lonelySugarcane in the easy mornin'
Weather-vanes my one and lonelySugarcane in the easy mornin'
Weather-vanes my one and lonelySugarcane in the easy mornin'
Weather-vanes my one and lonelySugarcane in the easy mornin'
Weather-vanes my one and lonelySugarcane (hey moon) in (hey moon)
The easy (hey moon) mornin'
Weather-vanes (hey moon) my (hey moon)
One (hey moon) and lonelyHey moon, please forget to fall down
Hey moon, don't you go down
You are at the top of my lungs
Drawn to the ones who never yawnJust as Kurt was about to let go, he felt something.
Blaine had squeezed his hand.
But he didn't wanna tell anyone just yet.
Maybe it'll just be their secret.
