It was now Monday, and all Dalton students had finally left. Except Blaine, of course, who was still in hospital. Everyday, Kurt went back to the hospital, had his one sided conversation with Blaine.
No other person had come to visit.
Quinn and Santana had started to get worried, but they just let Kurt be. If he wanted to do something they wouldn't evn try and argue. They just knew it wasn't gonna work.
Kurt skipped Cheerios practise and Glee club and headed straight to the hospital.
At this point, most of the nurses and doctors knew Kurt's name, due to the amount of times he had been there in the last couple days.
As usual, Kurt sat down in the chair right next to Blaine's bed and just stared. He hadn't gotten any worse, but he also hadn't gotten any better. Meanwhile, the police had found the cause of incident.
Blaine's alchoholic, homophobic father.
Turns out the police bad been called to the Anderson residence many times because of the drunk man. They suspect he beat up Blaine and his mother, realized what he had done and then decided to escape through the back window. Not the perfectly fine backdoor.
He was drunk as hell, what were you expecting.
Anyway, Kurt didn't know why he cared so much about Blaine. He'd only known him for less than a week.
Maybe it's because he was the exact same as Kurt one year ago.
Bullied. Broken. Doesn't trust anyone. Believes that they are the equivalent to nothing.
And Kurt wanted to fix him. So badly.
Before he could even attempt to swallow his feelings, he had already started sobbing hysterically. He realised he needed to talk to him. So badly.
"Blaine. I know you can hear me, well the nurse told me, but i'm still a bit skeptical. But i just felt the need to talk. Please, just know, that i really care about you so much. I really do miss you. I want everybody at Mckinley to realize how much of an amazing person you are. You won't believe me when i say this, but i used to feel exactly like you usually do. Worthless. But, just please know, that you really aren't. You're so amazing and talented an- OMG NURSE! NURSE PLEASE!"
Kurt saw it. His eyes fluttering open. His hand tensing up. Finally, he opened his mouth, and quietly whispering: "Thank you. So much."
"For what?"
"For giving me a reason to wake up."
Before Blaine could say anything else, Kurt's lips were on his. Again.
Kurt didn't know why he had kissed him, he just felt the urge take over him. He had missed him for so long, but now he could actually talk to him. Express his feelings to him.
Blaine only pulled back after he started going red. Partially from blushing, but mostly from running out of breath.
"I'm gonna go get a doctor or a nurse. I'll be right back." And with that, Kurt was out the room. This gave Blaine some time to think.
What was going on between him and Kurt?
First, Blaine kisses him, then Kurt doesn't even try to talk to him, before expressing all his feelings whilst he was in a coma, and then he kissed Blaine.
It was a lot for Blaine to take in at once.
That then led him onto the thought of what he wanted him and Kurt to be. He really liked Kurt, but there were so many things that could go wrong if they dated.
Blaine would be the target of so many pranks and most importantly, slushie facials. Kurt would move down the ranks to Blaine's level in Mckinley.
He was snapped out of his thoughts by the door creeping open and Nurse Diaz walking in with Kurt behind her.
"Well, Mr Anderson, we're glad you woke up. However, you will be staying here for one more night, just to make sure that there are no side effects or late injuries."
Blaine nodded and Nurse Diaz was out the door again. Kurt went to speak but Blaine cut him off.
"You, sir, are going to school and all your clubs. You know i'm perfectly fine now, so there is no reason you can't go."
Kurt went to protest, but only realised he wouldn't win the argument anyway. He stayed with Blaine until visiting hours were over, before heading back home. That night he actually slept well, just knowing that Blaine was fine.
Tuesday morning came around way to quickly for Kurt's own liking, mostly due to the fact that he had Cheerios practise first thing before school.
Kurt wasn't like the other Cheerios, because he didn't wear his uniform everyday. He didn't need some srupid uniform to tell that he was popular.
He walked into the gymnasium, just to see half of the team sat on the bleachers inside. They were all staring at Sarah's (Kurt didn't know her name. She wasn't that popular) phone, laughing at something.
As Kurt went to ask what they were laughing at, he saw a glimpse of it.
The video.
Blaine's 'Carrie' moment.
Crap.
He had to tell Blaine.
