Chapter 9

"I hate that girl!" I yelled to Darcy and Stormy.

"We know Icy." Stormy told me. "But what are we gonna do? She is different. A strange fairy. We can't beat her. The only reason we haven't beaten the winx is because they are strong together. But even alone, she can't be broken."

"It's almost like fate brought her into our lives to mess us up." Darcy huffed.

"That's it." I said and turned to face them. "We have to change her fate."

I laughed wickedly. "Oh don't you see? I can plan it now. We give her the choice to change her past and whatever choice she makes might destroy her."

They laughed and I smirked. I opened a portal to Sparks. She might just be there. We flew out of the portal and into the courtyard of the palace. We were about to make our way in when a blast was shot at us.

Bloom's POV

I heard the guards yelling that the trix were in the courtyard. The girls and I flew there and spotted the trix. They were flying by the rose bushes. I shot a blast of fire at them and they snarled at me before rushing behind the bushes. I bolted there and saw them sitting on the ground.

"What do you want?" I asked them.

They just grinned evilly. "What do we want? We want your sister Bloom. We want Lilly. She is an extra powerful fairy. So, our game isn't really fair anymore. So we need to destroy her. But we can't destroy her. So we need her to destroy herself."

My eyes filled with anger. How dare they say that like its nothing?! They waved goodbye to me and before I could do anything, vanished.

"Wait." Tecna gasped. "They were holograms. Where are the real witches?!"

"No." I whispered and flew straight up to the tower as fast as I could.

We lande on the balcony and I opened the doors to Lilly's room and ran inside. The trix spoke the last few words of their curse, standing beside a still unconscious Lilly, and suddenly everything stopped. I felt strange. I couldn't see anything or feel anything anymore and then I felt like all my memories were wiped away.

Lilly's POV

I stood up from the floor. Where am I? I looked around but nothing was familiar. I was just in a dark space.

Suddenly there was a light. Four people were looking at something. I recognized them. It was my parents, a toddler that must be Daphne, and a small child that was Bloom. They were looking into a cradle. I walked up to the cradle and saw a small baby girl. She was wrapped in a pink, silk blanket and started to cry. My mother picked up the baby and hushed her.

"Oh my darling. It's alright." She calmed the baby. "Mama's here."

The baby's lip quivered.

"She's a fragile kid isn't she mother?" Daphne asked.

"She is darling. As fragile as a flower. As...a lily.."

The vision faded and another surrounded me. I was standing in the ballroom. Everything was shaking. The floor had begun to split. I jumped out of the way. And saw a little girl with fiery red hair crying in the corner.

"Daphne! Daphne!" My mother yelled, running into the room. "Take Bloom. Take her somewhere safe and don't look back."

"MOMMY!" A small voice cried.

My mother handed a crying Bloom to Daphne and rushed to the stairs. My father came to her with a woman who resembled a young Miss Farragonda.

"We must go!" He yelled and tried to pull my mother to the exit.

"No! Lilly is still in the palace!" She shouted and cried.

"Do you know where she is?" He asked.

"No!" She cried. "I need to find her! She needs me!"

"We won't be able to find her in time." My father said solemnly and tried to pull my mother, despite her fighting.

No. They couldn't just leave me. Okay it would be fine. i would just go to Earth. The memory became smaller and I saw a little girl, hiding under a bed, crying. What? Why wasn't I moving? I wasn't crawling to the portal room. An I couldn't do anything. This was probably just a dream. I backed up but bumped into a vase an it fell to the floor, shattering.

This dream is not a dream. I made a quick decision and grabbed the child. She screamed and cried but I held her tightly and ran out of the room. I dogged falling paintings and lights. I cast a protective spell around us but it didn't work. I ran and kept running. I rushed down the steps and into the ballroom where my mother was still trying to get to me.

She saw me and gasped. She was let go Nd bolted to me, taking the child out of my arms.

"Who are you?" She asked.

I decided to lie. "I'm a maid."

"Thank you." She cried and the guards rushed her out of the castle.

I watched as they made it to the train when the scene faded. Everything went dark then. And I shot up in a soft bed. I looked at my hands and noticed that they were smaller. I looked at my body and saw that I had gotten shorter. I rushed to the mirror and gasped. I was twelve tears old again. But I was in my room on Sparks. Was I sure? I went to the doors to my balcony and saw my kingdom. Oh my gosh. Then Some women burst through the door. It was the matron! My eyes widened as I took in the new memories flooding into my mind. I remember celebrating a birthday with my family yesterday but that didn't happen. The matron dressed me in a gown and I ran to the dinning hall. My parents were there with Bloom and Daphne.

"Little sister, I know you are still a child but a princess is never late." Bloom smirked at me like an annoying older sister.

"Oh shut up Bloom! You're only a year older!" I shouted before thinking.

"Lilly!" My parents scolded. "A princess should not say that!"

I gasped. This isn't real. What's happening?! I backed up and bumped into the cart that was bringing our breakfast in. It scared me and I shot around.

"Fire arrow!" I yelled and the cart burst into a nova of flames.

I fell to the floor. That was too much of an advanced spell for a twelve year old. Daphne put the fire out and everyone rushed to me.

"Lilly are you alright?"

"How did you do that?"

"What happened?"

"How do you know that spell?"

"Are you okay?"

I jumped up and put my back against the door.

"Stay away from me!" I yelled. This shouldn't be happening! I should be on Earth with my earth parents. "I need to find my parents!"

"Lilly darling what are you talking about?" My mother asked.

"We're your parents!" My father explained worriedly.

"Stay back!" I yelled but they continued to come forward.

I set the floor around me on fire accidentally. I looked at my worried parents and ran from the room. Daphne was on my trail. She transformed and was chasing me.

"Lilly please stop!" She pleaded but I refused to stop. I needed to get to the portal room before she caught me.

I saw the room and ran into it. I locked the door but knew it wouldn't hold. I saw the portal for Earth.

"Lilly don't use the portals they are broken. We don't know what will happen!"

She was saying so I wouldn't use it. I stepped into the portal and appeared outside in an alley. I ran from the alley and into someone. I looked up and it was my Earth dad.

"Dad!" I smiled and hugged him.

He gently pulled me off of him. "Little girl, I don't know who you are. I'm sorry."
