I rode back to the palace. My break would be over soon and my friends at Alfea would be waiting for me. My family was waiting patiently for me when I arrived for dinner.
"I'm sorry I'm late." I said and sat at the table.
"It's alright dear." My mother replied before everyone dug into their meals.
I, personally, wasn't hungry. The events of this afternoon made me forget my appetite and filled my head with questions. Who was that boy? Could I have hit my head? Does my family know who he is? My eyes widened and I took the locker off. I slipped the picture out. I folded it so you could only see the boy.
"Mom, dad, do you know who this is?" I asked.
"Yes." My father said. "Prince Mathew of Linfea. It's a shame he has to become King at such a young age."
"King?" I asked and my mother nodded.
"Yes Lilly. I taught you about it in Royal Studies. The king of Linfea is very ill. He probably will die in a few months. So Prince Mathew is preparing to become King."
"Oh. Now I remember." I lied.
"Can I go out tonight?" I asked.
"Why?" My dad said and looked at me strangely.
"I have a few questions for Prince Mathew." I told them.
"Can it wait until tomorrow?" Daphne asked. "We are supposed to be going into conference with the Royal family of Solaria."
Solaria. Something brought a name to mind. Stella. Princess Stella of Solaria. I mentally slapped myself. Of course it brings that name to mind! She's the princess and goes to Alfea! I never talked to her though, since she was older than me and seemed kind of conceded. I think Bloom is friends with her though.
"Bloom, aren't you friends with princess Stella?"
"No. Where would you get an idea like that?" She laughed and tried to make a joke. "You're acting strange today Lilly. Like how you were on your sixteenth birthday."
My sixteenth birthday? What happened in my sixteenth birthday? I don't remember it happening. I can't remember if I even had a party. I must have hit my head.
"What happened on my sixteenth birthday?" I asked and they all looked at me.
"How could you forget? You fell asleep and were talking about the "winx." What a funny word that was! And when we told you you turned red as a tomato."
I furrowed my eyebrows and stayed silent. The winx. What's the winx? I feel like my life is a joke right now and I'm the clueless person who can't guess the punch line.
"Lilly did you hit your head while you were out riding?" My mother asked in concern.
"I don't know." I whispered and they looked at each other in corncern.
"Excuse me." I said before standing up and running out of the room.
