Chapter 16

Mathew spun me around. Oh I love him. He finally put me down and hugged me.

"No!" A familiar voice screamed and we spun around to see Icy, Darcy, and Stormy, angered. "YOU WILL NOT HAVE YOUR HAPPY ENDING!"

Mathew shoved me behind him.

"Mathew I can fight for myself." I told him.

"You still don't have your powers." He told me. "I'll protect you."

"Leave us alone." I asked. "Please."

"Oh since you said please..no! Just you wait Lilly! The next prison we put you in you will never escape. You will be alone forever and we will destroy everything you hold dear." Icy swore.

And the first spell flew. Icy attacked Bloom and they scattered. The girls transformed and opened a portal for us to get back home. Tecna put a shield around us and we ran with my parents to get through. But I saw Darcy strike Bloom. She fell to the ground and the girls were too busy fighting and keeping the shield up to notice. Darcy duplicated herself and sent the fake to fight the winx, while she floated down to a struggling Bloom.

"Goodbye Bloom." She chucked and my eyes widened.

"No." I whispered and pulled myself from Mathew's grasp.

"Lilly!" He called and I ran through the portal. I pulled my bow from over my shoulder and aimed.

"Darcy!" I yelled and she looked at me. Bloom collapsed again. "Make one move and I will shoot."

She stood still but smirked. "You never learn Lilly."

She duplicated herself again and let the other handle Bloom. I aimed in tot he air and shot. It flew straight past her.

"You missed." She laughed.

"Did I?" I smirked and she turned around.

The arrow had bounced off of something and hit the duplicated Darcy. She poofed away and it was heading strait toward Darcy but she flew out of the way. Kind of. The arrow skimmed her arm, leaving a long cut.
Darcy let out a scream and I ran to Bloom. I picked her up but a searing pain shooting through my back made me fall and drop her. I tried to pick myself up again but my body was shaking. The pain was terrible. That's why bloom couldn't move. We had been shot with the same spell. And it was horrible. I fell back to the cold floor and the trix crowded around us.

I looked at my parents and Mathew who were frozen in place. They couldn't get through the shield to help. The winx finished off the last of the replicas and realized what was happening. They began to form spells when the portal began to close. Flora Tecna, and Aisha held the portal open and yelled at my parents to get through before it closed. My father had to pull my mother and Mathew with him. And the portal was gone. The winx and Daphne crowded behind the trix. Icy turned around and whispered some words under her breath.

Another pain went through my body and I let out a scream with Bloom. We were shaking heavily and my vision was getting cloudy.

Am I dying?

"Stop!" Stella yelled. "Crystal of light!"

Stella's spell hit the trix but didn't have any effect on them.

"We will let you go." Icy said and a loyal opened. "Now."

Stella raised an eyebrow. "What's the catch?"

"No catch." Icy smirked and Stella stepped to come to us but Icy stopped her. "Not them. Only you."

"No way are we leaving without them!" Aisha yelled.

"Fine then." Stormy said and shot Stella with a spell.

Stella cried out in pain and fell to the ground a few feet from bloom and I. No. Not my friends too.

"Anyone else?" Icy asked but they didn't leave. "Fine then."

"G-Go." I said with a shaky voice.

"No Lilly we can beat them-"

"Go!" I cried and a few tears slipped from Daphne's eyes before she opened a portal and they all flew through.

The trix all grinned and stood next to us. The pain was increasing and soon I wouldn't be able to handle it.

"Don't worry." Stormy smiled. "The pain will go away. You'll be dead in about ten minutes."

They all laughed and walked away. I curled into a ball and my entire body ached. Bloom turned to me with a pained smile on her face.

"I'm so sorry Lilly." She said. "If I had just watched what I was doing.. Well you wouldn't have needed to help me and we would be back home. You wouldn't be in their prison. You wouldn't be feeling this pain."

"At..at least I'm feeling something." I said shakily. "And this is not how we are going to die."

I shook as I tried to push myself up and finally got to my feet. The pain was way worse as I swung my bow over my shoulder. I grabbed bloom and pulled her up. She was shaking as well.

"Lilly." Bloom cried. "I can't do this. The pain-"

"No." I interrupted. "We have to Bloom. Just push yourself."

I slung her arm over my shoulder and we walked toward the portal. Come on come on come on. We were about an inch away. Please please please. We took another step and went through the portal. When we stepped through we fell to the ground again. The pain was gone but we were exhausted. Mathew and Sky were immediately at our sides. They helped us up gently and I hugged Mathew while Bloom and Sky shared a long kiss. I felt bad showing so much affection while Conner was still here.

"Sky." My mother smiled. "It's time."

"Time for what?" Bloom asked.

"Time for me to ask you something." Sky said and got down on one knee.

I gasped.

"Bloom," Sky said and Bloom's eyes went wide. "You are so beautiful. I have love you for so long and I will forever. Will you marry me?"

"I..." Bloom smiled at our parents. Then she looked at me and her smile faded. "I can't!"

My eyes went wide and my mother gasped.

"I'm sorry Sky." Bloom frowned. "I'm just not...not ready..."

Bloom suddenly collapsed and Sky took her in his arms.

"She's burning up." He said and picked her up. "She needs a doctor."
