Chapter 10

I sighed and ran away. He looked at me as I ran but I didn't look back. I ran into another alley and tears rolled down my cheeks as I hugged myself. I then saw some shattered mirror and looked at my reflection. What?! I was back to normal! This couldn't be real! My dad didn't remember me! I became dizzy and fell to the floor. Someone was screaming. It was Bloom. Then I saw a vision of Bloom trapped somewhere. She was in a dark cage with the girls.

"Bloom!" I called. "Where are you?"

"We're trapped in an alternate universe." She told me. "The trix put a spell on you that would change your fate. You have to figure out a way to get back soon, or you'll forget the real universe and all of your real memories will be replaced with fake ones."

The vision faded and I stood up. I began to sob. How was I supposed to reverse this spell? I needed to see if people remembered me. My magical family knows me but my earth family does. Did I go to Alfea yet? Maybe Roxy was still here? I transformed and suddenly had Harmonix. I guess I'm a bit ahead of power in this universe. Wait where am I? Why am I one Earth?

No no! I shook my head, remembering what happened and why I was here. I flew down to the beach in Gardenia and looked for Roxy in the fruity Music Bar but she wasn't there. After that I went to the sand and waited.

"I'm so sorry Bloom." I whispered to myself as the sun was about to set.

I knew that after this sunset I would be back in Sparks and I would forget everything that had happened today. As I watched the sun lower to the sea a gigantic wave crashed on shore. I noticed something glistening among the sand and went to it. It was a locket. My locket! The locket that Mathew gave to me! I smiled as the tears continued to flow. I placed the locket around my neck and the sun finally set. I took a deep breath and when I opened my eyes I was sitting on my mother's throne in the throne room. She was reciting something to me, trying to teach me.

"Mom?" I asked. "Can I our lessons be done for today? I feel like resting."

"Of course darling." She said worriedly. It wasn't like me to ever skip a lesson. "But you need to understand that royalty training is very important."

I nodded and left the room, my velvet green gown swaying as I walked down the halls. I was going to go riding. I needed to get away from the palace as fast as possible. I jumped up on the stack of hay beside the stables and jumped onto my horse before speeding away. The guards opened the gates for me and Rose sped across the bridge to the city. I was going to sit by the lake beyond the village.

I felt strange. Maybe it was what I are for breakfast this morning? I had eggs and toast. But I have that almost every morning.. I looked at my reflection in the lake and sighed. What was it? Then I noticed something. There was a silver locket hanging from my neck. I don't remember getting this or putting it on! I took it off and opened it. There was a picture of myself with a boy in one frame and words were carved into the other side. They said: Remember me and our love forever.

Love? I had never had any contact with any boy other than guards, my father, or a guest. I looked at the picture. I was laughing into the boy's chest and he was holding me and smiling. I don't remember taking that picture. What was going on? I felt strange and weak. "Remember me" the words said, but I couldn't remember. Could I?
