I was standing in my mirror doing my hair when I received a call from the hospital. Sean and I didn't go to school today. We needed a break.
"Hello, are you Sasha Harris?" The woman said.
"Y-yes" I said. My heart was beating so fast.
"Well I'm sorry to inform you that your brother Christopher Harris is in critical condition at the downtown hospital. Please come as a soon as you can" the woman said.
I never moved so fast in my life.
I went and got my little brother Sean and I drove 80 in a 60. Lord please don't tell me something's wrong with my brother.
I ran through the hospital doors like I was the flash. Sean was trying to catch up with me because I ran so fast.
"Excuse me I have a brother named Christopher Harris. I'm his younger sister. Could you tell me what happened and what room he's in?" I said to the lady at the desk.
"Oh Christopher Harris? He was just admitted not too long ago. He got into a big car accident, he's in room 310B.
As soon as I heard those numbers I grabbed Sean's hand and ran to the elevator.
I ran to the room and opened the door. I saw Chris sleeping peacefully with Bruises and cuts on his face. The nurse was in the room checking his temperature and making sure he was alright.
"Excuse me ma'am, we're his siblings, is he alright?" I said.
"Yes he is, he recovered well from surgery. He nearly cut his head open, he's lucky to have survived. " the nurse said with a smile.
Sean and I went up to Chris and gave him a big hug. Suddenly we felt Chris move and he was making groaning sounds.
"You're okay" Sean said.
"What the hell happened? All I remember is sitting at a redlight and a car came crashing into me. The person who hit me left the car so I have no idea who it was." Chris said.
"Doesn't matter to me right now. All that matters is that you're alive and safe. I swear when I received that call I nearly died." I said.
I gave Chris a kiss on the forehead and Sean gave Chris a handshake.
"I love you two"Chris said.
"We love you too" Sean and I said at the same time.
*Fast foward to a couple hours later* While I was in the hospital, I got a text from Stokeley.
Stokeley 🖤: hey baby I haven't heard from you all day. You okay? Do I need to come over?
Me: I'm fine Stokeley, I'm at the downtown hospital. My brother got into a car accident.
Stokeley 🖤: what? Why you ain't tell me? I could've been up there😑. I'm coming.
Me: bae you don't have too.
Stokeley 🖤: too late I'm already in the car.
Me: ugh I hate you 😒.
Stokeley 🖤: I know you love me😏.
Next thing you know Stokeley was at the hospital. When he saw me he gave me a long hug and a kiss on the lips.
"Cough cough cough cough" Sean said.
"Damn do y'all mind?" Chris said laughing.
Stokeley got up and approached my brother and dapped him like most boys do.
"I'm glad you okay son. You got this" Stokeley said.
I love seeing what I'm seeing.
Stokeley grabbed my arm and took me outside of the room.
"Sasha I been meaning to talk to you about something. Promise me you won't get mad." He said giving me puppy eyes and holding both of my hands.
"I can't promise you anything Stokes. Sorry" I said.
"So you know that girl you beat up?" He said.
"Yes how could I forget" I said.
"Welllllllll......." he said in a very low tone.
"Well what? Don't tell me you did what I think you did Stokeley" I said letting go of his hands.
He grabbed me back and looked me in my eyes.
"She came onto me and kissed me at school and pretty much everyone saw it. I instantly backed away I promise" he said holding his hands up.
"You sure? Or you just using it as an excuse to hide the fact that you actually kissed her? You know what I think you should go. We'll discuss this later." I said angrily.
With that being said I walked back in the room and shut the door in his face and sat down.
"What the hell happened?" Chris said.
"Nothing important" I said.
